Following a successful launch on Steam (PC) last year, the cult classic motorbike simulation Elasto Mania released in 2000 is receiving a remastered release on the Nintendo Switch and multiple other console platforms this year.
There's no exact release date just yet, but you can sign up to participate in the console beta test over on the official game site. Here's exactly what you can expect from Elasto Mania Remastered:
"What is Elasto Mania Remastered? It's the best version of Elasto Mania yet - containing all the enhancements of the current Steam version, with additional never-before-seen higher fidelity assets straight from the original creators of Elasto Mania that couldn't be added to the game 20 years ago, and some more goodies. The Steam release will also be updated to the Remastered version free of charge for all players."
Do you have fond memories of the original game? Will you be checking out the remaster? Leave a comment down below.

But still no ninja gaiden trilogy
Wow, I remember playing the heck out of this game back at school, we had a computer in our classroom and basically everyone in my 7th and 8th grade was playing this when we could, taking turns after each death. Absolute blast!
Wow. I had no idea it was on Steam now. I may have to get it once it hits Switch. Loved it back in the day.
I loved this game! I remember when trials came out I wanted to play it because of this. Can't wait.
This is such random news, I’ll never forget how I used to play this game on PC as a kid and never giving up trying to get the flower on many levels. Rip joycons I guess )
Is this Trials Rising's father? 😆
Holy heck, this was a good time back in the day! Had it installed on my Windows XP machine (and the family Windows 98 computer before that) for quite a few years.
Also, even with the nostalgia I have for this, it better be a crisp 1080p/60fps at a reasonable price or my 2021 gaming budget may not allow for this indulgence.
@Clyde_Radcliffe kind of but you could switch which way you were facing at any time and a lot of the puzzles were about platforming in a way that required you to swap directions at precise times. There is a game called Old School Racer 2 that is a lot closer to it.
@Clyde_Radcliffe looks more like an uncle to Trials Rising for me. Trial‘s grandfather at least would be Kikstart from Mr. Chip / Mastertronic
@vanYth I had Kikstart on Commodore Plus4 as a child. Amazing game!
Deluxe Ski Jump 2 next?
Nice. Remember the good old days when playing that game back in school
Now THIS is a blast from the past!
Dang. That was a lot of hours down the drain during 10th grade.
For some reason these basic moto games have always appealed to me. Will buy.
Yes! Countless hours lost in class on my old Toshiba laptop lol. Windows 95’
Wow, used to sink hours into it in school. The most mind-blowing thing was watching replays of the high-score players. I just couldn't fathom that level of skill or ingenuity.
