Capcom just held its Resident Evil showcase celebrating 25 years of the series, and while there was sadly nothing on display for Switch fans, over on the eShop you can still get your fix - as most of the RE back catalogue is on sale in the US.
This covers both the Switch and 3DS - with games like Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil 4 reduced down to $14.99. Then there's the Revelation series, along with The Mercenaries 3D on 3DS. Here's the full line-up via GoNintendo:

Resident Evil 6 - Current Price:$14.99 (Regular Price:$19.99)
Resident Evil 0 - Current Price:$12.99 (Regular Price:$19.99)

RE4,5,6 are 7.99 on PS4 at the moment. I will not be getting these until the price matches sales on other platforms.
I will be looking to purchase RE 0.
I recently played through all the Switch RE games. All great ports and totally worth it at these prices. Getting to play 4-6 on a portable device is so awesome, the Mercenaries mode is great for quick sessions too.
I might consider getting revelations 1 and 2 as there the only ones I haven't played. Gonna pick up 4 again cuz its so good but 5 and 6 are trash.
@Moistnado great point!!
So much for that Resident Evil showcase... NO MENTION OF ANYTHING RELATED TO NINTENDO SWITCH. LAME.
Was this the big Switch news that came out of the Resident Evil Showcase?
@GorgeousG there's a reason why.
You see, the RE showcase is only for multiplatform releases.
The rumored Revelations 3 is rumored to be timed switch exclusive so they won't share that in a showcase. Revelations 3 might be announced in a nintendo direct or something.
@idrawrobots nope
@anoyonmus Well, this is Nintendolife.com, and they did mention about said showcase a couple of days back(ON HERE) hinting about a possible detail of some sort having to do with anything on another platform other than Xbox or PS5. ***** Us for being Wrong!
Good Job, Capcom!
@GorgeousG you can protest to capcom all you want right now. Petition to them to bring more RE to switch
Gamecube was the last time, Capcom cared about Nintendo. And i understand why, Sony is always 1 generation ahead, so why should Capcom care about the most powerless plattform.
Besides that, i'm happy for May, when Resident Evil 8 comes to PS5
Have they sorted out the load times on RE1 yet?
@Nintendo4Sonic its coming to ps4 as well. And xbox one
@Moistnado had no issues with RE1 on switch. Not even load times
@Nintendo4Sonic Capcom does care about nintendo. We have MH Rise, Ghost and Goblins, and MH Stories 2 coming out soon.
@anoyonmus
I know that, but i want to play it on PS5, which also seems to be the lead plattform for that game.
And i know about Monster Hunter, even the 3DS had Monster Hunter. But this is a series, which is of All Capcom games, the most unappealing to me
@anoyonmus there are in the reviews. So they have been fixed?
@Moistnado I got RE 1 HD in June 2020. I think they have already been fixed.
@Nintendo4Sonic ehh. I don't think there is much a difference when you are playing it on ps5 compared to XSX.
I am thinking of getting an xbox one so I can get this game
Revelations isn't bad, but the deals for 4, 5, and 6 are pretty weak, the games are only $8 on PS and Xbox. Heck even RE and 0 are overpriced, I only paid $5 for RE 0 on Xbox a few weeks ago.
I caved and picked up the 3DS games.
@spurryitboi
Revelations 1 was really good and has a great campaign mode that looks relatively better than 2, but there are no zombies and the "infected" seem to be of the more aquatic-looking type(I guess since they ARE on a boat?).
And YES, the raid mode is far more superior on #2 than #1.
I've bought these so many times over so many platforms that I'd only buy them again if they go to £1
@anoyonmus good to know. I wish Nintendolife had a bug fix update on their reviews.
I would but only if it was physical
@GorgeousG it was a Sony sponsored showcase, you surely didn’t think they’d use that time showing off something exclusively for a Nintendo console?!
@anoyonmus Geez, i was just saying, i'm getting it on PS5. Do what you like
These are just constantly reduced in sales but then they never seem to hit below what they cost on other consoles even though they are all ports from older gens.
Capcom seems really bad at pricing its Switch offerings at a fair constant price point.
Still hoping I find RE4 on cart by itself, used, out in the wild. I don’t want 5 or 6 on Switch. I may just break down and get it cheaper on PS4.
@Moistnado yuuuup
I'm starting to wonder if RE8 will make it to the cloud gaming service on Switch like Control.
These came on sale in tandem with the RE8 announcement trailer, and I'm pretty sure RE7 came to a similar service in Japan.
I hope so, I'd like to play it.
@Moistnado watch the physical of 4,5,6 to go on sale (2 games are codes)...I got mine for around $25 last fall.
Meh, yet another copy/paste capcom sale.
@Dang69 lol"physical"
I took advantage of it and got every single resident evil game on xbox one.had them on switch minus re2 remake and re 3 remake
@BadWaluigi2 yeh - pretty lame how Capcom has been treating "physical" on Switch - but i got the games cheap tho
