Launching next week on Switch is an isometric Souls-like action-RPG that's sure to put a gruesome spin on your festive celebrations this year.
Morbid: The Seven Acolytes lands on the Switch eShop on 3rd December, promising "epic, brutal boss encounters," diverse environments, and plenty more besides. Said to feature a "deep, immersive lore" and NPCs to interact with, the game has you exploring a dark world to defeat the Seven Acolytes and level up your character.
You can view a trailer for the game over on YouTube, although be warned that it's age-restricted.
You are the last surviving Striver of Dibrom. Your duty, for which you have trained your whole life, is to defeat the Seven Acolytes, accursed and powerful beings, possessed by malevolent deities called Gahars.
Challenging foes, mini-bosses, and memorable large-scale boss fights with fully orchestrated music, are central to the world of Morbid. To overcome these obstacles you must master the combat, as well as improve your character and gear through a wealth of elements such as Quests, Perks, Runes, Upgrades, and Looting.
You'll be able to pick it up on the eShop for $24.99 when it launches next week, and physical versions are also appearing for pre-order should you want to add another lovely case to your collection.

This does look good. I might pick it up
This does look good indeed.
It looks great, but I really don't like my games to be frustratingly difficult, and that popular "souls-like" term being used so much, makes me not want to buy a game, even though I know that it may not really be all that frustrating. I have enjoyed many difficult games in the past, and could "enjoy" the stress better back then. I have very fond memories of playing some of the most difficult challenges, as recent as ZombiU's survival mode, storming the tower with an AK blazing, walking through waist high water in the dark unable to run or fight, reloading a mounted machine gun while several zombies were closing in...
This one is on my wishlist, but with Empire of Sin and Immortals releasing so closely, budget is tight. So waiting on review for this one.
I had it on my physical pick up list for ages before taking it off.
Its more of a me issue though.
Ive snapped up most indie retail titles day one but find that the majority get massive discount before Ive even given a look into the game.
So chances are Ill pick this up in 6 months time when the retail version is £15
Physical release exclusive to the EUR region. So as a Murican Switch collector it's an insta-buy for me.
Considering recent similar releases, I would be more careful with such games. Must of the fall into the category of "all flash, no substance."
Currently on sale £11.99 on uk eshop FYI @Burntbreadman
