Mario Kart Live Gates

Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit is out today, meaning Switch players all over the world are now busy setting up their very own Mario Kart race tracks in their living rooms. Should things take a bit of a wrong turn, however, Nintendo's got your back.

As you'll know if you've read our Mario Kart Live review, the software and Mario RC car use cardboard gates as checkpoints for your custom circuits. Just like Nintendo's Labo range, it's sturdy stuff, but we're sure there'll be plenty of accidents involving kart crashes, children falling on them, and cats deciding to bite holes into them at any given opportunity.

Should any of these things happen to your gates, you can simply head here and print out more at home. These print-out versions feature the same AR markers your RC car needs to successfully communicate with the software, so you'll be good to go again in no time.

They look just like this!

Earlier today, we shared a launch day poll for this latest Mario Kart instalment, asking the Nintendo Life community if they're planning on buying the game and – importantly – whether they have enough space to even use it. Make sure to join in and have your say.
