To help fans get familiar with Monster Hunter Rise, the official Twitter account is uploading short clips of the game.
In the very first one, it shared a video of your hunter's new dog-like companion - the Palamute. This good boy is able to be pet and can also perform a few tricks. Take a look below:
The Palamute is not only a companion but is also used as a mode of transport to travel between locations. In addition to this, it will aid you in battle - as demonstrated by Capcom at this year's Tokyo Game Show.
Will you be picking up Monster Hunter Rise when it arrives exclusively on the Switch next March? Tell us down below.

Monster Hunter Rise
What else comes to mind in that sub-sub-sub-genre department?
This feature will get way more use from me than I'd ever be willing to admit. XD
I’ve been playing MH Ultimate Generations as of late to get prepared for this game. Still at low level quest though.
Okay great, now I can go ahead and pre-order.
I'm very hyped for this. For some reason I'm more hyped for this then I was for world. I ended up liking World more then I thought I would but I never played it as much as Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate which was my favorite.
I'LL TAKE YOUR ENTIRE STOCK
FINALLY SOME ACTUAL NEWS we don't give a crap about age of calamity, botw2 or odyssey 2 this is what we want to know. (Fun article:) )
It's very cute they used the "Can you pet the dog" twitter format.
Can this be the first MH game I get into? Tried some on the 3DS and the recent Switch one, but it didn't click.
Every game needs a pet a dog feature.
@Quarth The 5th generation games (World and Rise) are quite different compared to past games, so I would say give it another shot.
@Joeynator3000 Yeah, haven't tried World as I don't own a console that can play it, but will definitely try Rise.
I'll probably purchase this one since the last one I played was monster hunter freedom unite.
Hmmm, game looks more tempting by the day
I haven’t seen if there is custom character creation, but if there is I’ll be picking this up. Petting the dog in any game warrants support for the developer.
As soon as it came available I preordered the deluxe edition. I wonder where this game will rank? Will it be like Monster Hunter World or Generations. I really hope they used a lot of things from World. World was more welcoming to beginners.
@Minish-Cap Is a misture of the two. For example, is not always online, it has a dedicated hub for multiplayer like in the old games, but it is still World elements in it, like auto-combining items when you pick them on the map. I'm hype!
@Shiro28
Rise may go down as one of the best Switch games. Rise could be the mountaintop for the Switch. The start of games high in quality coming to the Switch. The graphics seem to be getting better on the new Switch games. Rise could be the start of something amazing on the Switch.
