This October sees the return of the Wii U title, Pikmin 3, in 'Deluxe' form on the Nintendo Switch. To help build up the excitement for this release and teach players a bit more about this particular entry, Nintendo has uploaded a new video on its Japanese YouTube account featuring more than three minutes of gameplay footage and some lovely animations.
As previously revealed, this newer version of Pikmin 3 comes packed with all of the DLC from the original game and even includes some brand new side-story missions featuring Olimar and Louie. There are also plenty of pre-order deals on offer. Fancy a Pikmin 3 coffee cup or microfibre cloth with your copy of the game? Then check out our guide.
Will you be adding Pikmin 3 Deluxe to your Switch collection when it arrives this October? Tell us down below.

Why do all the Pikmin look so intimidating? Seriously, they look so disappointed in me.
Pikmin is such a lowkey disturbing game. The original used to make me cry.
I do hope this will be remade into English.
When the 3D models look cuter then the art.
Ok, that was so cute it makes me want to play it, even though I couldnt get on with the first one on the Gamecube, hmm... maybe if they bring out a Demo or I borrow my friends physical, I will give that a go then make my mind up
they need to show the controls and if there using the joy cons for wii remote controls
Nope. Will not get this. So far only paper mario for me this year from nintendo. Hope there is something more coming this year....
Still haven’t shown the deluxe content. They really should have reworked the ground textures. Let it just serve as a reminder to those thinking Nintendo will soon be 4K: they are in no hurry, nor feel compelled to deliver high fidelity graphics. They likely would have been happy to have never moved on from two GameCubes duct taped together, if they had their druthers
Is there any way for you to configure your site's RSS feed so that it doesn't send out a new item when you update an article's title? I see that you have a habit of updating titles after publishing, and the result is that your feed is confusing. For example, there are three copies of this article in the feed.
I want more details on the extra deluxe stuff. Like how long are the extra story bits? Are we talking 1-2h or 10+hours. Is there online MP? That could be a lot of fun. If I’m gonna slap down a whole full RRP on this beauty - the Nintendo Store and GAME store extras are very tempting- I’m going to need some more info pls.
Already traded in my Wii U copy in anticipation of this.
I really hope we get to use the White and Purple Pikmin in the new Olimar/Louie content, i really missed them in the main campaign of 3, as great as it was.
That video alone has sparked my interest in the game! Leave it to Nintendo's charming marketing.
But now I just want a whole Pikmin game in that rough hand-drawn art style.
I would like to have more miniseries based on Nintendo characters.

@RPGamer well if it were 2D, in my opinion it would just become Unravel, both thematically and mechanically. I would rather it remain the way it is; all it needs is better presentation, like the artwork in this commercial.
I imagine one of the reasons why Pikmin is set in the real world with realistic graphics is because the IP was created for the Gamecube, and Nintendo at the time probably wanted to showcase the power capabilities of their console. Fast forward to today however, and the franchise needs a reimagining since Nintendo no longer is at the cutting edge of console power.
@NinChocolate If Nintendo went 4K, Game Freak would have to turn all those 3DS models and animations into 4K equivalents and so we might only get about 5 Pokemon in the next game. Of course, they would add the remaining lot in via a battle pass accessed through your phone 😉
Nintendo's most underrated game, but for me certainly in the top 5 best nintendo franchise.
I know how you feel when you hold the cover in a gamestore and doubt, i once had the same. But im very glad i bought it to gave it a change.
Its a realy funny game with a good laugh, but beside this it has great mechanics and its briliant.
Don't be fooled by its presentation.

"I know how you feel when you hold the cover in a game store and doubt, I once had the same."
This gave me a good laugh! And you've actually encouraged me to give it a go myself.
@nessisonett Shhhhh!! Don't give Pokemon Co. any more smartphone ideas
Pretty cool stuff.
