Publisher 2K has released a demo for NBA 2K21 on Nintendo Switch, giving players the chance to check out the game ahead of its release next week.

Also available on PS4 and Xbox One, the free demo includes four playable teams: Kobe Bryant and the All-Time Lakers, Bill Russell and the All-Time Celtics, the Milwaukee Bucks, and the Los Angeles Clippers. You'll be able to try out some of the freshest features coming to the new game, including "major" innovations to the Pro Stick and a redesigned shooting system.

The demo also sees the return of the MyPLAYER Builder, letting you select your own position and set your own attributes so that you can get a taste of what will be available in the full game. In a nice touch, any player you create will carry over into the full game should you choose to pick it up, so you'll be able to get playing again straight away.

2K has also revealed that due to the delay of the 2020-21 NBA season, NBA 2K21 is changing up the reveal of player ratings. This year, expect to see player ratings be updated upon the release of the game on next-gen systems, following the completion of the 2019-20 NBA season. 2K says that this will "ensure the ratings are reflective of the player’s performance this season", with all changes being implemented across all versions of the game at that time.
