Developer Destructive Creations has revealed that real-time strategy game Ancestors Legacy is getting a physical retail edition on Nintendo Switch.
It's actually available as we speak in the US, both as a standard physical release and as a 'Day One' Edition (at select retailers only). Picking up a copy of either will grant you access to the entire original soundtrack and an artbook, both in digital formats, and it's available at the same price as you'd find it on the eShop:

European fans will have to wait a bit longer before getting their hands on a physical copy. It's set to launch for 39,99€ on 26th November, although you could always buy it from the eShop now if you don't want to wait. Ancestors Legacy is a history-inspired, real-time strategy game influenced by historical events in the Middle Ages. The game combines resource management and base-building with large-scale, squad-based battles across vast battlefields. Experience medieval bloodshed like never before thanks to the cinematic action camera that puts you right in the middle of the battle at the press of a button.
Take command of your army as you storm through medieval Europe in an extensive series of campaigns. Choosing one of the four available nations – Viking, Anglo-Saxon, German, or Slav – you will be tasked with more than just conquering, raiding, and pillaging enemy camps, villages, and towns. Only by utilizing the full range of available tactical options, taking strategic advantage of the environment, and managing your temporary bases and settlements will you emerge victorious.

I have not seen anything about this game but it is quite odd to believe you can have a proper experience with an RTS on console...
I tried it. It sucked.
This game is hard enough with mouse and keyboard... Can’t imagine playing it on Switch.
Why is there not a review yet? I know this site can't review every single game since there so many but I figured you would do the slightly higher quality games?!
Never even heard of this game, but it seems like it would be pretty difficult. Base building is pretty much the only thing that makes RTS enjoyable IMO, without it the games are just not that fun.
So it's like a civilization building game. Pass. Not the genre for me, but I could see how others may like it.
@Spoony_Tech maybe in the Switch, it's not higher quality. Maybe that's why they don't have a review. I really don't know though.
@SmaggTheSmug darn, I had my eye on this. It looks cool.
Halo Wars is pretty much the one and only RTS series that actually behaves in a way that's fun to play on a console....but of course it was designed around console to begin with. Age of Empires 4 may or may not come to XBox, but I can't imagine how that would work. Though that console supports keyboard and mouse....
An RTS with a controller that was designed for PC? I guess gyro pointers? Or touch screen?
