Of all the games highlighted in December's Indie World Showcase, few stick in the mind quite as strongly as Liberated. The game has you playing through the pages of a comic book and looks particularly pretty and intriguing; it helps that it's also headed to Switch first as a timed console exclusive.
If you're wanting to get a closer look at the game, you're in luck. The team has kindly shared a selection of new and exclusive screenshots with us which you'll find down below.
Earlier this year, we sat down with Marek Czerniak and Konrad Wałkuski, Creative Director and Producer at developer Atomic Wolf, for a good old chat about the game, challenges during development, and working with Switch. Feel free to give that a read if you'd like to learn more.
We'll leave you with this official description. Are you looking forward to checking this one out later this year? Let us know in the comments below.
Liberated is a groundbreaking new vision for the future of digital comics. Seamlessly merging the art of hand-drawn graphic novels with interactivity and side-scrolling action, this is an action-adventure game that unfolds across the pages of a comic book.
Liberated asks difficult questions about modern issues. Government surveillance, state-driven misinformation, fake news, and weaponized personal data paint the world in shades of gray. Knowing which battles are worth fighting, and where to draw the line between revolution and terrorism, has never been more paramount.

Looks pretty good to me, can't wait to see some video.
I like it, providing the storyline is sound and it comes to physical
A little too much clicking on selected dialogue options and cinematics... would rather see some more gameplay to understand the game itself.
I don’t really understand if this is more “visual novel” or “action” intended..
@sikthvash Mix some "inside" into it.
Looks interesting, but not particularly enjoyable to me.
@Scollurio Yes! It does have that sort of vibe! It's one of those titles that I'd wait for a review for... and perhaps a deep, deep sale.
