For most of us, creating an in-game living space that resembles anything remotely appealing is probably cause for celebration, but some Animal Crossing: New Horizons players are just painfully creative.
Earlier this week, we saw someone transform their New Horizons island into a faithful recreation of The Legend of Zelda's Hyrule. Today, it's Pokémon's turn, with this talented player modelling a portion of their island to look just like Pokémon Red and Blue's Pallet Town - the location where Trainers first start their Pokémon journey.
It has everything from the player's house, neighbouring buildings, the water route to the south, and even the cool little signposts. To top things off, the player is even dressed like a Pokémon Trainer, too.
Here's how Pallet Town looks in Pokémon Red and Blue and Pokémon Fire Red and Leaf Green for comparison:
It actually makes for a really nice-looking version of the town, not too dissimilar from the cuddly art style found within Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!. We'd be well up for seeing more Kanto locations brought to life in New Horizons if they'd all look as good as this, but we can only begin to imagine the amount of work that'd take.
Nice work, LinkMigue. We love it.

I love Animal Crossing.
Can't wait until I get the ability to do this, my town needs some order bringing to it, in no rush though.
This is convincing me to make a mini New Bark Town.
So cool. I love these
Looks really nice but I do wonder what it looks like outside of the town. Does it connect nicely to other parts of the island? Is he planning on expanding and doing Route 1?
I named my island Sunyshore after the city in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. I'm not planning on recreating the actual city but I like the name and I plan on adding some nods to it. I placed a lantern on the eastern coast when I started and just today replaced it with a lighthouse. I need something near it to represent the Muchlax rock. I think I'll buy the godzilla statue and use it until I find something better. Or maybe I'll just stick with it. Who knows? Changed my town tune today to resemble the music in Pokémon. I may change my flag too but it's the avatar I have here for now. I quite like my Zero III art. I just wish I could turn off the in-game filter.
I haven't even unlocked the landscaping tools, and I still don't have any clear vision for my island.
I don't have this game ye,t but I need an owner to answer a question for me. Are you able to change the name of a Town/Island after creating it?
@Reigestugatensho
No, I'm afraid not.
I was hoping to do something like it myself ! I would like to have different part, not necessarily connected like in the real games I would take the inspiration from (I like palet town and Lavender town, and why not mix it with some Zelda inspiration too !)
How did they get the bushes on the side of the house like that? Is that just the default model? My house doesn't have those bushes and they are glaringly absent in NH.
@Ooyah Oh, well that's too bad. Thanks anyway.
So the multiple houses are other accounts on his switch?
