The Switch eShop is about to get a new fantasy RPG next week in the form of Monster Viator, a game which originated as a mobile title and wound up on Steam earlier this year.
Another release from the RPG-making factory that is Kemco, Monster Viator stars a protagonist who's able to talk to monsters. The game has you going on a pixel art journey full of dragons, dungeons, and more of those monsters than you can shake a stick at, as promised in this official game description:
Unable to remember who he is, Culter is mysteriously able to communicate with monsters. He soon comes across Aira, a shepherd who controls monsters with a harp and sets out together on a journey to uncover his memories. A fairy-tale like adventure with a legendary Hero with a thousand monsters, a Fountain of Truth and a witch unfolds!

Ride a dragon and soar the skies or on a raft down the river! Compelling pixel art breathes life into your adventure. Journey with more than 20 monsters, each with their own abilities and personalities. Hang tight and take your time in exploring not only challenging dungeons but what this fantasy RPG has to offer!
It's set to launch on Switch on 9th April for $14.99 / £13.49, but a 10% discount is available from now until the 10th.

I like to play a game when scrolling through the coming soon section where I guess whether or not something is a generic Kemco RPG based off the picture. Usually you can spot them from a mile away which is good because it makes them all the easier to avoid.
Not gonna lie: I read that title as Monster Violator
Yeah me neither. I read it as monster vibrator.
It’s perennially 1994 in kemco’s world. I like it
That tried and true Kemco RPG Maker stuff. Hard pass.
The only thing improving on these Kemo RPGs is the sprite artwork some of their earlier ones were really bad and looked really out of place it's taken them almost a decade of making these to start getting close to them looking like they belonged on actual consoles. Sadly because of the menu look they all still feel like cheap mobile games going for more than twice the price on Switch.
I took one look and knew instantly this was a Kemco release , not really sure why they get so much attention here ?
@OnlyManWhoCan
Hahha exactly the same here 🤣 i even said it out loud " a new game called monster violator?" Then i read your comment and scrolled back up 🤣
@The-Chosen-one Great/Dirty minds think alike!
Nice, but Somehow i have not comforted in first person view of rpg gameplay
@lemonjellydude It does feel like Nintendo Life has some sort of vested interested or something. Most other shovelware games don't get any attention (thankfully).
Yes, looks good, will more than likely grab that one.
looks alright, can someone explain why people are so down on it?
Well the game seems more polish than Kemco's past offerings. I might give it a try once a sale arise.
The overworld and area exploration actually feels like an SNES/GBA RPG, so there's that.
