Angels with scaly wings was actually pretty interesting. A friend gifted it to me and it kinda got me into the visual novel scene.
I've already got several VNs on Switch that I still need to work through but I'll check these out and pick up any that seem interesting enough. I noticed that Syrup and The Ultimate Sweet is already out on the eShop and is on sale (and is quite cheap to begin with).
I am not a huge visual novel fan, but some of these look pretty interesting!
Everyone reading the headlines on NL: "DIRECT?!"
Might try Blind Men!
I picked up Long Live the Queen on a Steam sale. It's similar to Princess Maker but very unforgiving. Trying to keep the princess state of mind right for the lessons you need takes getting used to. Plus if you don't have certain stats high enough at certain points in the story it's game over no matter what.
A neat lineup, but Long Live the Queen alone could make the whole newspiece for me. A simulation VN along the lines of Princess Maker, its cute anime designs conceal Game of Thrones levels of grim fantasy politics. Many endings and milestones to unlock, many ways to die a painful and/or frustrating death. I poured quite a few hours into it on GPD Win, but after having to move to a laptop I couldn't recover the saves and didn't have the heart to start the whole thing anew on a bulkier PC (the moods and classes take a lot of fine-tuning to reach certain triggers, even if some branches accept multiple skills interchangeably). Hoped for a Switch port in the future... and here we are!
syrup eminates bad vibes, but the shiba game looks hilarious
With the PS Vita dead and buried, here comes the flood of visual novels, for better or worse.
Gotta hand it to them, they're bringing out the goofy stuff to serve the niche audiences that might hitherto have gone unserved!
