Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath started its bounty hunting journey on Switch in January with a digital-only release on the eShop, but a lovely physical edition is just around the corner.
There are actually both Standard and Limited editions currently in the works, the latter of which is shown off in the trailer above. The Limited version comes with a copy of the game, a keychain and sticker set, and an exclusive outer box with lenticular.
It's due to release in North America on 26th May and will arrive slightly later in Europe on the 28th. There's actually a separate (although practically identical) trailer for the European version below should you be interested.
If you missed it, make sure to read our full review of the game to see if it might be for you. Here's just a taste of what we had to say:
Players looking for a classic 'Oddworld' game might be disappointed with Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath. The game has its own identity while still remaining part of that unique universe, and that somehow makes it even more appealing – giving players a world to explore that feels much bigger than what you see of it.

Cool! Now I'm glad I've been holding off on picking this game up. The physical edition sounds very appealing.
Digital version is simply too expensive. How much they gonna charge for the physical one? 59.99?
Well, you heard it, folks. Now you can actually start supporting the game.
It's not even sarcasm at this point, @Cissero outright spelled it out. As long as people hold out for physical editions, smaller indie games are just going to die.
Great game.
Will be buying.
@AlexSora89 Normally I don't, but the virtual price just didn't feel right. So I'm either waiting for a discount in the e-shop or I'll go for the physical version.
Physical means it'll be a special purchase for me, which makes me more comfortable with spending 30 euro's.
You missed out the main part of that press release:
"three classic Oddworld titles, all coming to Nintendo Switch in 2020."
Erm... WHICH ONES??!?!?!?!?!?!?
I guess I'll go for the limited edition version and if not then a standard copy is fine. Either option is a better choice over digital.
I never played this but it does look interesting and gyro aiming is always a welcome addition for me.
This would of been nice to know before I bought it on Steam. Oh well I payed $5 for it instead of $29.99 so i'm not too upset. But I would of bought it for Switch if I knew it was going to be physical.
Want Hot N Tasty real bad
Seriously why the HELL cant we get physical copies of GRID autosport or ALIEN: Isolation???
If the price is right I might buy it. If I had a Xbox back in the way I would have bought it physical anyway. But I only have Nintendo devices, so I might go for this physical Switch version.
Got my PreOrder for the LE already set.
