The Switch is about to get another dose of zombie-based survival horror in the form of Heaven Dust, a game inspired by genre star Resident Evil.
The game has you waking up in a strange mansion full of zombies and deadly traps, leaving you to go on the hunt for helpful items and solve puzzles. You can expect plenty of zombie fights, too, all presented in a top-down view (as seen in the trailer above).
Here's the game's official blurb and a feature list:
In 1970, a scientific investigation team found a new virus in the blood samples from a primitive tribe called "Torkue" in New Guinea. Some scientists think it will help to reveal the secret of immortality and they called it "Heaven Dust". However, it turns out that it's not really a gift from Heaven, it opens the gate to hell instead.
After the research center in New Guinea was destroyed in an accident related to the mutant virus, they brought "Heaven Dust" to the USA, then the research was carried out entirely by their subsidiary company StarDust. A disaster is just unfolding...
Features:
- Thrilling and immersive exploration-horror experience!
- Challenging story-integrated puzzles!
- A hopeless story with different endings. Maybe there is a good one.
The game has been developed by Chinese indie dev One Gruel Studio and will launch on Switch on 27th February.

Looks cute, like a combo of Resi and Zombies Ate My Neighbours.
Hmmm. Doesn't look great. Dodgy animation and the visual flare is lacking. Perhaps it will play well.
Super Resident Evil? I guess RE on the snes wouldve looked similar to this. In all seriousness, aside from fact that he moves really slow, this looks like a fun little re experience I can sink my teeth into. Depending on price, I may give it a shot.
I love what they've done here! Really, it's a great idea. But... I feel it needs some more time to polish it, to finish it. I don't know, there's something about this that seems to be incomplete. Don't ask me why.
I hope I'm wrong though!
Was interested until I watched the trailer. Does not look immersive or interesting enough for me.
I like the art style. I would definitely be open to trying it out if the controls are not clunky.
Anybody remember a survival horror game that was supposed to be on WiiU called Silent Evil?
Whatever happened to that?
Looks awful. Choppy, bland and that special brand of annoying slow to traverse.
This looks cool, will check it out.
I seem to be in the minority here but this game seems interesting to me, will definitely be keeping an eye on it 👍
Looks like old school Resident Evil action. I am game.
Looks quite interesting! A lot like the last corpse party game but with a better gameplay. Probably buying !
I don't know, man. But I hope it's good!
Not gonna lie, looks crap
I thought this was going to be 2d and pixels 😭
Nintendo needs to be more selective about what it allows onto the eshop.
Umbrella Corporation Ate My Neighbours.
It looks a tad bit too slow in movement to me. I wouldn't want that.
Quite fancied this but at only £6 im no sure it will be that long a game
Looks like a cheap mobile game...
That art style is a turn off too.
I bought it. played 15 minutes and this is what I think:
Controls are bad. you walk very slowly, there is no run button. seems you can buy a little more movement speed.
Shooting is just shooting, you can't aim for the head for example.
You hold R (uncomfortable. I would rather hold ZR) and shoot with Y. I don't know why need 2 buttons to shoot if you just stand and shoot into the direction you're facing.
Game really has an unfinished feel on it. playing it makes me sleep instead of tense.
