Since its arrival on the Switch, Studio MDHR's run 'n gun platform shooter Cuphead has received a lot of love. Most recently, Cuphead himself was added as a Mii Gunner costume in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. If that wasn't already enough for Cuphead fans, there's now a spirit event taking place later this week on Friday.
According to the @SmashBrosJP Twitter account, it starts on the 14th (Valentine's Day) and will last for a total of five days. In this time you'll be able to acquire a total of four new Cuphead-themed spirits including Mugman, King Dice and the Devil. Will you be participating in this upcoming event? Shame they could've use a Mii in the Cuphead costume for the Cuphead spirit, instead of red Mega Man.

Like usual, people will decide that the Cuphead characters are out of DLC and will never come as Fighters, Cuphead is disconfirmed.
But for me, this is even more evidence that none of the characters who are already Spirits are disconfirmed, it's possible that this confirms that Cuphead is not coming in Fighter Pass Vol. 2, but the game has over a thousand Spirits and they are still adding more fan-favorites to the game as Spirits and killing their chances if that's true, even if Sakurai already decided none of the Spirits are becoming Fighters, if Nintendo orders a Fighter Pass Vol. 3, this rule will be easy to break.
I wouldn't have minded a Cuphead stage with the big band music playing in the background. That would have been awesome.

Would love to as I'm actually currently playing cup head and enjoying it alot. Now on world 3! The issue I have is that I'm absolutely poo at smash. I tried and I've studied videos etc but apart from the basics i just cant get it. Some of those spirits are just way too hard for me.

Just got the spirits. I remembered seeing pictures of Mega Man here. I was fighting Miis with Cuphead costumes though. It had the music too. Does it change depending on if you bought the DLC or not?
