Update - Sat 15th Feb, 2020 11:00 GMT: Following on from yesterday's silhouette reveal, The Pokémon Company has now shared a much clearer image on Twitter. Keep in mind, the full reveal of this new 'mon will take place later this month on 27th February.
@Pokemon - New Pokémon Discovered?! Stay tuned, Trainers...
Original story - Fri 14th Feb, 2020 02:55 GMT: In January, The Pokémon Company announced it would be revealing a brand new mythical pocket monster on 27th February to celebrate this year's Pokémon Day. This special creature will not only be available in the new games Pokémon Sword and Shield but will also feature in the upcoming movie Pokémon The Movie: Coco, which is due out this July.
The silhouette of this new Pokémon was also expected to be teased in this month's issue of CorcCoro magazine (releasing on 15th July) and Serebii.net has now managed to get an image from the magazine ahead of its release (via stream footage). For a silhouette, it's pretty exciting:
As previously noted, this new mythical creature will be revealed later this month on 27th February. While no details are known about it, the bands / "wrappings" around its arms appear to be similar to the ones worn by the human character in the Pokémon The Movie: Coco trailer (see the image at the top of the page). It's even got the same amount of wrappings, according to the website PokéBeach.
What do you think of this silhouette? What type of Pokémon do you think it could be? Share your thoughts below.

Umm....
Looks like Lombax (Ratchet race).
its going to be a giant werewolf Pokémon obviously. It will be grass/dark and it’s going to be a loner rebel, who plays by its own rules.
@itslukec werewolf was the 1st thing that came to my mind as well.
It looks epic. Can't wait to see who this is, thank you Nintendo.
Oh yeah! I completely forgot they were gonna reveal a brand new legendary on Pokemon day. Cool beans. Always nice to get new Poke
@itslukec I honestly really like that werewolf idea, but why grass do you think?
I'm thinking... tengu?
I’d love a werewolf but for some reason the feet make me think it’s some kind of monkey-like mon. It looks like it’s using it’s “thumb” as a kind of heel
@Heavyarms55 something about how the girl looks in the tree. Sort of a jungle/feral vibe. Makes me think of grass. Haha. Just a guess though. I M almost always wrong...about everything.
@itslukec Fair enough. To be honest, I wouldn't want another dark/fighting anyway, even though that's what I would guess a werewolf Pokemon would be. It's just not that great of typing. But grass/fighting is pretty solid however, Breloom is a beast!
That reminds me of the rumor I heard about Galar Breloom in the DLC. That could be cool.
Hoping against hope it's Blacephalon (love that guy...)
watch this guy's arms have springs on em and work like an arms character to swing from trees lmao
It's Omega Gigantamax Thwackey
Looks like a cat to me.
alakazam meets incineroar
Hey look, it's Heihachi!
so it seems we are finally getting a baboon legendary Pokémon
edit: it could also be a mandrill since I just looked up and mandrills are no longer in the same family as baboons.
I think we have out next Pokémon rep for SSBU DLC pack 2.
@itslukec
It is a boy, not a girl.
I’m going for corona. A virus/alcohol pokemon
It’s obviously Hugh Jackman.
Looks like Alakazam and Persimian's lovechild. It'll probably be the wise old Splinter to the new legendary fighter types in the DLC.
I thinking some type of monkey, and little Tarzan probably dresses and acts related to this pokemon
@itslukec The pose and legs look more apish than wolffish to me.
@itslukec I also think it's a werewolf, though that brings with it the problem of effectively enslaving a human who's only occasionally a Pokémon.
However if you look at the boy's body (dont worry, I though it was a girl until
I realised that she'd be giving Ash full frontal nudity) markings particularly on his sides.. they match up with the bumps on the shadows sides. So it's either werewolf or Latios-style human form.
The kid's red/purpley hair is making me think either fire or poison for the main type.
Looks like it went bald and can’t deal with it so it let it’s hair around the perimeter grow.
Like Dilbert’s boss.
Fire monkey all day long, wooooo
Looks like Alakazam ditched his spoons and got a bit procured some floatation devices.
Neanderthal Heihachi, obviously.
A giant lemur.
Thought it was a Gremlin for a nanosecond.
Is it just me or are legendary Pokémon so much less interesting than normal ones? The only thing they have is being promoted as special with stupid stats. With there being so many legendary Pokémon these all seem so pointless. And the fact that it's either extremely common or arbitrarily rare kinda ruins it too because you'll either never see it like some other mythicals or everyone has it so what's the point.
Mega Heisashi
An attack style alakazam. But instead of spoons, it uses forks
@HXLXIII I was so close! Giant rouge monkey! Looked pretty close to what I envisioned actually.
@VexingInsanity Only those who take advantage of the limited time distribution have most of the rare mythical, which I think is cool, I haven't seen another Marshadow, or Keldeo, etc. in Sword and Shield in raid groups since I transferred mine into the game via Pkmn Home. Gives them a sense of exclusivity, and Badassness.
