UK chart data is now in for the week ending 25th January, revealing that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot has managed to keep hold of its number one position.
After last week's sudden success for the 3DS - which saw WarioWare Gold leap all the way from 827th place to fifth (it's in 18th this week) - things have started to return to normal once more. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is once again Nintendo's highest-charting game, with Luigi's Mansion 3 and the latest Mario & Sonic title also making the top ten.
Here's a look at this week's top ten all formats chart:

Why are your charts different to push squares? There's goes
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot
Grand Theft Auto V
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
FIFA 20
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Just Dance 2020
Luigi's Mansion 3
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
If only mario kart deluxe got the same treathment as the mobile game. (DLC)
Or a mario kart 9 would be even better.
@m8e3point1415 You mean Luigi's Mansion 3? Such is the Power of Nintendo!
@m8e3point1415
it is strange as they both can't be right. also mario kart is number 4 on pushsquare
anyone know what place tokyo sessions is at this week?
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore being already out gives me the sads. Pretty good game.
It's great that Mario Kart 8 is still selling so well (it's fantastic so why wouldn't it) but I can't help but wish that sales would start to slow so that Mario Kart 9 has a better chance of seeing the light of day
Seriously, how the heck is GTA V still selling like crazy? No, seriously. Are there really THAT many people who wanted the game and just couldn't afford it until now? Do British collectors just want dozens of copies of it to be safe that if the country bursts into civil war over Brexit, enough copies will survive the chaos for the survivors?
I can kinda understand Mario Kart, as only 9 people total in the UK bought a Wii U, and the Switch has been selling like mad. But GTA V is on like every other platform, and has been for like 7 years now!
Tokyo mirage session is just OK. I’m a little disappointed in it. I like the Japanese voice acting. My problem with it is the dungeons. They have these annoying puzzles. I’m all for puzzles but these are just downright a drag. The music is amazing and the story is outlandish in a good way. I think this game is very niche. So I don’t expect it to be high on the charts.
Glad to see Kakarot still up there. Same for LM3 and Jedi. All are super entertaining games.
Tokyo Mirage not even in the top 40. Good game but insane price - so not surprised.
@Heavyarms55
always people buying a new console and those who sold it and wanted to play gain
Tokyo Mirage Sessions is riding high on the eShop if that comforts some people.
@SquareOneMJ because physical copies are sold out everywhere so only way to get TMS is on the E-Shop
@Heavyarms55
I agree on GTA the numbers are totally insane and I can never understand how it's still selling so well.
As someone above said people may have sold it and bought it again for whatever reason.
I know I've bought it 3 times.
First copy was on PS3 when it was new.
Second copy was on PS4.
I did temporarily sell my PS4 and bought an Xbox One S.
I soon got bored with the Xbox and traded that in towards a PS4 Pro
I ended up buying GTA again for a 3rd time when it was in the sale on the PSN Store
@The-Chosen-one I think Mario kart tour is fantastic outside of it's micro transactions of course. I'd much rather play Tours variety than Mario kart 8s static prix.
I hope that future MK games continue to incorporate other Nintendo franchises.
@Heavyarms55 Peer pressure is the only reason. Most people who own the game only own it because for whatever reason you can't be a gamer and dislike GTA no matter how factually sh*tty it is and how factually sh*tty Rockstar are as developers. If people actually played the damn game, and didn't let the cultural stigma pressure them, you wouldn't see it selling like that and you'd have far more people admitting just how bad it really is. There's not a single gamer who can say it's a good game.
@Smashfan502
Agreed. I'd love to see a splatoon stage or a metroid one.
@Smashfan502 Well I can either play console Mario Kart which have static grand prix, meaning I play them now it will always be the same courses. I play them 2 years from now, it will still be the same courses.
While with the phone, they update every 2 - 4 weeks and it feels more like a series of events. There are reverse versions, and trick versions and reverse trick versions. There's a scoring system, which while it does have a grind or a what you own aspect to it, makes me want to replay races far more than any other Mario Kart. While I enjoy Mario Kart, I don't really see the replayability in most of them like I see in Mario Kart Tour.
@Smashfan502 inappropriate is relative. Everyone has different standards and there's nothing wrong with that. There are some things in the game I'm not a fan of, but I understand why people enjoy the game.
My thing is that the game is like, 7 years old and has been released everywhere but Switch and yet is still topping sales charts. I find it silly that people are explaining that with "Well people sold it and rebought NEW copies of it" or "kids are aging into it" As that doesn't explain these numbers to me. I just don't think there are enough people in those categories to explain how the game is still selling like brand new.
Oh I'm sure I get lots of downvotes all the time. There are people on this site who I'm sure hate me because I don't follow the hive mind on a lot of issues. I like Pokemon Sw/Sh and anime, dislike live action adaptations of games and anime, dislike VR, and the new Star Wars movies and I'm not afraid to say it. I hold a lot of unpopular opinions that are outside of that the peer pressure hive mind of the internet demands, and that irritates people. But that's the internet in 2020. You either conform or take flak.
I also comment regularly, so people probably remember the name and downvote me just because it's me. I know a few other regular users who I always see with downvotes no matter what they say.
