Chromatic Games has delayed the release of its upcoming Switch title Dungeon Defenders: Awakened.
The action-RPG tower defense game was originally scheduled to arrive next month alongside other releases like Darksiders Genesis, Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition and Metro Redux, and has now been pushed back to a later date.
According to an official road map shared by Chromatic on Twitter, the Nintendo version of the game is now targeting a second quarter 2020 release. Take a look below:
When it does arrive, players can expect "epic" 4-player co-op action as they take on waves of enemies together, build traps and collect mountains of loot.
Are you looking forward to playing this game when it arrives on the Switch? Tell us in the comments.

Noooooo!!!! Aside from Animal Crossing, this was my most anticipated release for February! Roll on Q2 then, I guess?!
Not if it is eShop only that doesn't make it any anticipated.
@The_Pixel_King Animal Crossing releases in March, bruh.
I've played the first game on Steam when I had a more powerful working computer (Die, Dell, die!) and it was okay, but it never really grew on me. Also, it was hard to get used to the overhead view for some reason. Maybe I was just disappointed that it didn't offer a lower perspective like the screenshots and videos suggested. Like I said before, way too many things bother me. I liked the Orcs Must Die games more; it's a shame those (apparently) aren't coming to Switch.
@Bermanator Damn, then it was my most anticipated release in February! 😂
Wow this is a soTRENDY ENT move. Like many I’ve been anticipating this game but seriously? I thought Chromatic was suppose to be better than this and move away from the TRENDY stigma and learn from past mistakes please don’t do this to chromatic. I pray it’s not broken upon release.
Wow that looked so boring. Get a better trailer you bums.
Guess they'll have to rename the video to:
"10 games, 1 DLC, and a Delay"
Nothing mentioned Physical option....
I played the heck out of the original Dungeon Defenders, and played some of the sequel, but had trouble enjoying it as much as the first one. This might be worth a shot. I think I could see this game being easily playable with a controller.
