UK developer and publisher Rebellion has revealed that it's bringing Zombie Army Trilogy to Nintendo Switch in 2020.
The game, which originally launched on PC, PS4 and Xbox One back in 2015, has players taking part in "frenzied undead-shooting action" across three story campaigns and an unforgiving Horde mode. It features some similarities to Rebellion's Sniper Elite series but has a more action-focused feel, and is playable either alone or in co-op for up to four players.
The Switch version of the game will come with "everything" previously released on other consoles, as well as two-to-four player local wireless play, motion controls, Pro Controller and HD Rumble support, and even support for Switch's friend invite system. Here's some PR:
In the dying flames of World War II, Hitler has unleashed one final, unholy gamble – a legion of undead super soldiers that threatens to overwhelm the whole of Europe! Take on unrelenting hordes of harrowing enemies, from zombie soldiers to armoured skeletons, and fire demons to chainsaw-wielding elites – before facing the demonic dictator himself!
No specific date has been set just yet, but we do know that this one's planned to launch in the first half of the new year. Hopefully we won't have too long to wait.
Looking forward to this one? Have you played it already on other systems? Tell us below.

I might buy it. Was interested in this game on ps4 too.
Was kind of boring on PS4, i doubt this will be much different
Hitler, fire demons, and Nazi zombies? Just like my heavy metal posters. All we need now is the power of rock and a "music is the weapon" tagline, and it's gonna be brutal.
Waiting for a antimatter too post and tell us games like this have no place in a Nintendo console! If it's cheap might pick it up
Decent Co-op game, terrible single-player though. The trilogy is unbalanced, the gunplay feels like you're shooting air guns, and worst of all, the aiming feels clunky and off. I would not recommend this at full price.
If you have a group of buddies, I can recommend this, it's a blast, especially in survival mode.
Finally another co-op shooter and it has a friend invite system.
I’ll be buying it! Looks fun!
I own this on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
Played it to death online in co-op.
One of the best co-op games this gen.
Day one! For me me I love the sniper elite games and I love zombies!
I love Sniper Elite but I never really liked the Nazi Zombie Army games. I think the problem is how the Nazi Zombie games feel like they were designed around online coop, I prefer the single player design of the original series.
I really wish we could get Sniper Elite 4 on Switch, but I doubt it'll happen unfortunately. I feel it would be possible though with games like Witcher 3 being on it.
@Lord I saw this and thought who might like this! 😉
Player - You zombies are going to eat my bullets. Die inferior beings!
Zombie - How rude! Just because I walk slow and look like someone beat me with a sledgehammer doesn't mean you can talk to me like that!
Player - Uhhh, what the hell?! I thought Zombies just groaned and mumbled.
Zombie - We only do that after we wake up for a bit. Mornings are a drag.
Player - Holy sniper bullets! I am so sorry for killing your kind. I think my kill count so far is like 18,023. From this point on, I will promise not to kill you guys anymore.
Zombie - Yes, that is good. Let's be friends.
Player - Ok!
And the Player and Zombie rode off into the sunset together.
I skipped V2 remastered, had a harder time not buying 3 on switch, because I never played it before but loved the second and first game, but this one, despite already having played it, is just so much fun...
bring cod zombies to the switch, just the zombie maps in cod bo1 bo2 bo3, take my money
I am game for this as long as it's physical and on full cart...no Digital Downloads... DLC that is different.
It's a pretty okay game. If you ever wondered what the Sniper Elite mechanics would be like in a Zombie Survival game. Well... this answers it.
Either Co-Op or go home though. Because the game sucks in single player.
@Santoria that's one person opinion though. Unless your the tester.
Wow, this looks cool, but i will wait for the reviews.
@Giygas_95
Sniper Elite III is immaculate on Switch. Gyro motion aiming makes it so fun and smooth to play. And it looks fantastic. Full 1080p docked and 720p portable... I’d much rather play that than a significantly scaled down sequel. Not that I wouldn’t play it, but I just think games made for hardware of the same general power level look much better and are a better fit.
@JaxonH Perhaps, but the scale of Sniper Elite 4 make it my favorite game of the series. The maps are so expansive and fun to explore, and mechanically I think it's a more solid game. The bullet cam is also much better in my opinion. V2's bullet cam was also great. Not sure what happened with 3's, but it just isn't very good, at least I don't think. Plus my favorite thing about 4 is that one of the later updates allows you to play as different characters in the campaign so you can play through it as a guy in a ghillie suit which just perfects it for me. 😁
Loved V2 and 3. Really didn't like Zombie Army Trilogy. It kinda felt like the opposite of what the Sniper Elite games were about.
Amazing game on PS4. Already pre-ordered the Switch version!
