Wow, that Amiibo actually looks really nice. Hopefully I can track one down and buy it someday.

Hopefully these aren't too terribly limited, I need to start getting the Shovel Knight amiibo.

I have the original and can live without gold version. I've skipped the gold version of all the others too.

@TurboTEF Funny, that - I have the Gold Mega Man and Mario but have no desire to grab this one. Far too early for SK to be on that same level, I suppose.

I preordered the Gold version as well.

TBF, I wanted the gold Mega Man but not have to pay $50 for it for games I've already owned. And now its really expensive. Hard pass forever unfortunately.

I've had a copy pre-ordered for a few months now since some Finnish retailers put it up on their websites at the start of the Summer.

Not sure if it was just due to the rumours or if they actually know something else (my guess is on the former).

If it does something different than the original, I will most likely get it. If not, I will have to think about it.

@TurboTEF Oh that, yeah, I think I wound up just trading the game itself in for pennies value. You could always make a best offer on eBay and see what happens.

With the speed of actual SK games I think it will be 30 years before it can reach that level. Capcom released 5 Mega Man games during its first 5 years each with unique content, scenarios and gameplay tweaks using pretty primitive tools and didn’t rely on constant cameos or major merchandise.

@SalvorHardin I mean, I guess it can get there, but I'm still struggling with the franchise's theming. It's as disjointed as Shantae.

@graysoncharles Yeah last I checked they wanted to charge me $10 to ship a $16 Amiibo... no thanks. Best Buy and Amazon will ship that to me for free.

Play-Asia and Base have had these for Pre-order around December and April respectively.

I asked Yacht Club Games back then and they no back then. But hey things change.

To be fair, my friend once played through Shovel Knight for us, mostly in his Gold costume, to show off a funny bit of dialogue near the very end of the game. So, this wouldn't just be something random like Gold Megaman to me...

Hey @Liam_Doolan, Canada is part of North America. We don't have GameStop. We have EB Games Canada & while the two companies are the same, EB doesn't have the same stock or promotions that the U.S. Gamestop has (case in point, GameStop still has the Loot Goblin amiibo in stock but good luck getting it through EB Games Canada). I'm pretty sick and tired of this website lumping all of North America together when you clearly are just referring to the U.S. We are different countries. It would be like if there was a Canadian gaming site that said something was available in Germany but said all of Europe, thereby giving false hope to those living in the U.K. (which Brexit aside is still a part of Europe). So how about you do your Commonwealth family a favour and be specific when you cover stories on this side of the Atlantic.

Before you guys pre order at the US Gamestop... It is already listed in several German stores so my guess is, it will soon be available almost anywhere. Question is for how long until all are sold out.
