Last week brought the surprise reveal of a brand new Rabbids game on Switch. From Ubisoft, the game is called Rabbids: Adventure Party and appears to be a China-exclusive release.
If you're a super-fan of the raving Rabbids, or perhaps if Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle converted you, you're probably intrigued to see what the game actually is. Well, as luck would have it, the first off-screen footage has now surfaced online and you can check out around nine minutes' worth of gameplay in the video below.
As you can see, the game supports four players and seems to feature a collection of mini-games featuring the bonkers behaviour you'd expect from a Rabbids game. Players use a single Joy-Con to play - either through motion control or by holding it sideways in a traditional pad setup - and the whole thing seems to sit somewhere in between Super Mario Party and 1-2-Switch.
The game has been available to play in demo form at ChinaJoy over the last few days, although we're still waiting to hear concrete details on how exactly it will release.
What do you think? Would you play this if it was released in the west? Waggle those Joy-Con in the comments below.

The lack of any decent sound design makes this game seem stale, slow and uncompetitive.
The minigames look very simple and not very fun to play. Also some of them are minigames from previous rabbids games rehased with a different aesthetic.
I wish Ubisoft made a sequel to Rabbids Go Home. That game was actually really fun, and it was much better than the Rabbids Party Games.
@Sidon_ZoraPrince "The lack of any decent sound design makes this game seem stale, slow and uncompetitive."
wat?
It looks like a fun party game, hope it will have an English localisation to cater to international gamers.
Also, the title, Rabbids: Adventure Party seems too literal in translation. As the storyline is based on the famous Chinese novel Journey to the West, it sounds better to rename it as Rabbids: Party to the West.
Hopefully it’ll get translated and released world wide
Eh. If I wanted Mario Party I would just buy Mario Party. If it was similar to Kingdom Battle I’d bite; I’m not a rabbids fan but that game was pretty fun.
Looks a little phoned in uninspired to me. Sure there is some enjoyment here but nothing revolutionary.
Sounds... fine, but bring on Mario + Rabbids 2, please! I haven’t played the Donkey Kong DLC yet, but the base game is my favorite Switch game so far.
@Aaronnnnn I'm sorry, but how is this comparable to the new Animal Crossing game at all? Also neither game is out so there's not even a real comparison yet, if at all.
@jerrycoeurl DK dlc is worth every penny . If you have some money to spend, I’d say go for it! Highly recommended
Still waiting on that Steep port . . . . .
I hope they release it in the West. Why the heck not?
@Friendly I intend to get it just as soon as I clear some more of my backlog!
Or as it will be known internationally: Ni Hao, Rabbids!
@Wavey84 : Aaagh. Don't remind me. We never got a new 3D WarioWare on 3DS, we never got a MotionPlus game for Wii/Wii U, and with the last two games being more or less commercial flops, (due to really poor decision-making on Nintendo's part) Nintendo have basically killed Wario, or at least left him in limbo. Wario and friends deserve so much better than this treatment.
At this point, I'd be thrilled with a Smoove Moves port.
@bluedogrulez unfortunately i dont think thats happening anymore. pretty sure i read some where that it has been cancelled.

I really want a 3D mainline Rayman game. It's been way too long
I'm glad to see a new Rabbids game even if they have been hit or miss. I thought the original Rayman's Raving Rabbids was an excellent game. The rest of them on the Wii were OK for multiplayer, but kind of pointless if you are by yourself (which is usually the case for me). Rabbids Land on Wii U somehow managed to be more fun single player than with a group thanks to the weird decision to have two player only mini games in a four player game. Anyway, I hope this one turns out good, because I do find the Rabbids funny.
@Aaronnnnn Wow. Really cool and deep answer, my dude.
@MayroMake Ay, thanks man
Love the rabbids. Hoping for an English option so I can buy this in Hong Kong. I fear that Ubisoft may avoid releasing this in the West because of an obsession with political correctness. They might only include a Chinese language option as to stress the target audience to critics. It's a shame because the French developers would find it easier to translate this into English than Chinese. Even Assassins Creed came with a disclaimer to detail the diversity of cultures, ethnic origins and bedroom preferences of the production team so nothing would surprise me.
A yelling game - how instructive - just go to work for this kind of ‘game’...
@SpicyBurrito16 just for saying that you earned 150% of my respect. Rabbids go home 2 all the way!
