Sega is always happy to experiment with Sonic the Hedgehog, and early next month on 4th August, Sonic and Miles "Tails" Prower will be appearing in Cartoon Network's animated series, OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes.
The news was revealed at the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con. Below is the official Twitter announcement:

As you can see in the video above, the brief clip is filled with plenty of Sonic references - ranging from iconic poses and hand gestures to music straight out of the video game series. The episode is titled “Let’s Meet Sonic,” and will see the blue hedgehog and two-tailed fox visit the plaza and team up with KO to save the day! This episode will also be available on the Cartoon Network app.
If you're unfamiliar with OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes, it's about an enthusiastic young boy who earns a job at a hero supply store and trains to become the greatest hero ever.

An unexpected crossover, but a welcome one
@Aaronnnnn we’ll watch their career with great interest
I wanted to like this show based on its premise, but it just feels awkwardly written. The comedy tries being similar to a show like Chowder, but its too slow-paced and not as well written as Chowder was. The more I see of this show the more I see wasted potential. This show crossed over with Captain Planet, Sonic the Hedgehog, and even had a special where he had to save every character in Cartoon Network history. But so far those 2 have been severely lackluster, and chances are the Sonic one will be too.
Sonic and tails look gross. Its like they tried to emulate another style instead of drawing it on their own style.
Welp. Sounds like I gotta watch OK KO
It’s not a bad show. It’s iffy at times, but it’s not bad overall. (The show in general.)
If this crossover is as good and faithful to the source material as the others, I have no doubt it’ll be a fun time.

CN saying GOTTA GO FAST like they know what the hell is a sonic.
@Aaronnnnn
Hello there
As much as I love that Tails is getting some limelight in front of younger audiences, that's a tell-tale sign that this is not written with younger audiences in mind.
The typical Lowest Common Denominator TV Watcher never gave a 4th Chaos Emerald about Tails - not then, not now.
"Sega is always happy to experiment with Sonic the Hedgehog".
Well, what would anybody do when they lose the ability to consistently please their fans?
@Fandabidozi general fandabidozi!
Wow he is fast
@patbacknitro18 The animation also looks pretty low quality, in my opinion. Oh well, at least we have Infinity Train to look forward to...
One of the related games for this article could of been Ok Ko Lets Play Heros just saying
GASP!
It's Bubsy!
This show loves to make crossovers.
OK KO is a show I've been meaning to watch all the way through. I love the animation style and the jokes and references are great. like, they crossed over with an obscure direct-to-video Scooby Doo movie for cryin' out loud! plus Jim Cummings does some of the voices - what a treasure he is! shame he had to put up with false allegations... (yes, the court has deemed him innocent)
Just bring the old Sonic cartoon back. That was funny! @ the end always "Sonic says" lol
Since watching "Sonic hates smoking" yt poop and other similar ones, I just can't take the cartoon or comic seriously. XD
Still loved when they brought in Hero and Galgarion from the creator's old webcomic RPG World. The bit where Hero generically thrusts his sword FF4-style at a baddy before it explodes made me smile.
I've heard of the show. Never watched. But I will watch this episode.
It's been many years since I watched anything from Cartoon Network. I lost any remaining respect I had for the company when they spat in the face of Teen Titans fans, teasing a final season of the original show if "enough" people saw the abomination that was "Teen Titans Go" in theaters. They never delivered. Far as I know, they never even gave an official reason. Scum company.
@UmbreonsPapa And that's exactly the kind of thing they are hoping for. lol
@Ardisan Their own style is even worse.
OK KO hurts to look at. And the creators are proud of that.
They point to the terrible Sonic cartoon as their inspiration AND THAT'S NOT GOOD
@SmaggTheSmug The style is fine, not amazing by any means but its fine. Of the few episodes ive seen it just looked very simple and the animation was really sporadic. Not sure why a extremely simple art style with almost every character having a simplified circle look cant have proper lookin Sonic and Tails when they are pretty much circles with arms and legs.
@SmaggTheSmug Terribleness is subjective. a lot of people hold AoStH very close to their hearts (me included) whether that be for nostalgic purposes or because they genuinely find the humour of the show funny. (I'm the latter)
@Noid Low quality of animation is objective though. That cartoon is not a good example of how to animate. Terrible timing, bad off-model and little in the way of consistency. OK KO has the same problems.
Looks like fun. Might watch, even if I don't know the cartoon series.
