Publisher Merge Games and developer Red Blue Games have revealed that upcoming action-adventure Sparklite will be receiving a delightful Signature Edition this October. Pre-orders will be going live later this week.
You can see the Signature Edition release for yourself below; it contains a region free copy of Sparklite, the usual Signature Edition sleeve and box, the original soundtrack on CD, a Nano Block figure, and a numbered certificate.
The game itself is made up of five procedurally generated biomes and tasks players with inventing gadgets to solve puzzles and defeat enemies. There are collectables to find, a co-op mode to enjoy, and a charming pixel art aesthetic throughout. Here's the official description:
Everything in the world of Geodia is tied together by Sparklite... it's the life force of the planet, and the inhabitants have learned how to channel it for their own gain. The blue, glowing ore can be harnessed providing a low-level, rechargeable power source, or it can be consumed for a huge surge of power with grave consequences. Geodia’s self-titled "Baron" has devised a plot to mine the world’s Sparklite core to meet his own ends. Mining Sparklite in large quantities, the Baron repurposes the ore to fuel his powerful war machines, but the pollution from the consumed Sparklite is corrupting the world. Animals have turned into violent monsters, and the environment is rotting away.
If you want to snap this one up for yourself, pre-orders will be going live on the Signature Edition website on 28th June at 7am Pacific / 10am Eastern / 4pm CEST.

That was a lot of epic music for not much going on.
The game looks nice but the areas they showed looked kinda empty.
Interesting premise. I will have to see later on if it has enough meat on its bones.
hmmm looks good but will it really be good? can it be good?
The statue resembles the Link sprite from Zelda II enough to make me want one. I'm unfamiliar with Sparklite, but it looks like a competent game. I like the art style.
I get Moonlighter vibes from the graphicstyle, but that's about it and I wasn't a Moonlighter fan.
Yea that's not much info on the game. Is it an RPG, Action, Puzzle, Rouge,? Who the hell knows! I would like to get this collector's edition game as it's only $49.99(U.S) but can't do to such little info.
Edit: This company a several signature series games and only this game and one other has a video. And they give no explanation as to what type each game is. If this company wants to stay in business their going to have to do a better job explaining their product. They do have signature series for Dead Cells and For The King though.
@TMG44 I recently started Moonlighter and am seriously underwhelmed so far. I thought this looked a little better than Moonlighter visually at least.
The game sounds like it could be interesting. I was getting Iconoclast vibes but I think it must only be the wrench. 😅 I’ll have to see more of the gameplay/ reviews to make a decision.
Ugh! Had me until I read “procedurally generated”. I’m getting sick of that mechanic. It leads to dull environments. It does work in some games, but honestly feels cheap now. Devs, please stop it. Put some time in and handcraft your game so it’s as awesome as it can possibly be.
Ohai Link copycat!
Looks nice. But its rogue, so I´ll pass.
@McDerbert,
I totally agree!
