Niantic has revealed that Pokémon GO's next Community Day will feature the Generation 3 Pokémon, Slakoth. If you're looking to get your hands on a super strong Slaking, this will be a golden opportunity.
It'll all kick off on Saturday 8th June at 3pm - 6pm in your local timezone. You can expect to find Slakoth all over the place during that time, with a higher than usual chance of finding a shiny version, as well as a 1/4 egg hatching distance and three-hour Lure Modules throughout.
As well as giving you the chance to earn lots and lots of Slakoth Candy, recent trends would suggest that if you evolve your Slakoth into a Vigoroth, and then into a Slaking during the event, you'll be able to learn a special, exclusive move. At present, the Community Day site is keeping this new move a secret.
We've recently shared guides to help you with some of the harder-to-obtain Pokémon released as part of the most recent update. If you need a helping hand, make sure to check them out below.

Huh, this is the first time they've put together a video promo for a community day.
If Slaking's special move is a charged move instead of a fast move, it won't have any use in battle since it can only learn a single extremely weak fast move, "Yawn".
If they give it any fast move, even a bad one, it might be of some use due to having some of the highest stats in the game, so this will be interesting.
Plus shiny Slakoth is cute, it's pink.
My whole family was wiped out after I led them out into the middle of a busy street to catch a Meltan. I'll never forgive myself.
Depending on where you live, this is during Nintendo's E3 tournament streams.
@JHDK
That doesn't add up, Meltan don't appear in the wild.
There is one you obtain after clearing a series of special research tasks, or the many you can spawn at your location using an item called a mystery box.
@RupeeClock Ya got me! I googled "obscure Pokemon Go" cause I thought it would make my dumb joke better.
Only evolved into Vigoroth in POGO so far, so this makes getting Slaking finally easier.
Bummer. I just evolved my Vigoroth into a Slaking. To make things worse, I'm already booked that entire afternoon. Oh well....
Shiny Pokemon are the main draw for community days for me, and like Blaziken, Slaking's shiny is super boring, so I will probably be only briefly playing, if at all this time.
