In today's episode of 'here's another RPG from Kemco', we present to you Frane: Dragon's Odyssey. The game launches on Nintendo Switch tomorrow.
The story follows Kunah, a boy from the fire dragon tribe, as he gets summoned by the god that reigns over the world above. His mission is to bring Escude, a lost girl from the angel clan, back to Vanneth. With his childhood friend, Riel, the daughter of the ice dragon chief, he follows after the missing girl and sets out for the vast world below the clouds.
Featuring all the RPG elements you've come to expect, Frane: Dragon's Odyssey has you facing combat against enemies, gathering items, creating dishes, and giving gifts to your friends to increase their likeability gauges. The press release even hints at some potential romance, should your gifts be particularly liked.
As we mentioned above, the game launches tomorrow and is available from the Switch eShop for $12.99 / £11.69. If you're quick, you can take advantage of a pre-launch sale giving you 10% off that price.

My friend will be interested in this. Me, not so much
The trailer makes it a bit hard to enjoy(it might be the first time I'd say a game looked better in screenshot than video honestly) but this said it might be the first Kemco game I'm feeling any interest for(even if not hugely so)?
I think it might be from the fact it might be an action RPG game rather than turned-based which seem to break the mold of what I'm seeing from Kemco's other games on their storepage.
This said the use of realistic textures for their tileset.... clash a fair bit with the anime art and pixelated character sprites which is... not great.
It reminds me of early PS1 era 2D RPGs. Some still managed to be decent despite it, but it's not neccessarily something that aged well as a look.
As per usual, anything by Kemco is an insta-pass.
I added this to my wish list a while back as I thought it looked like a good time. I read some review and impressions from other systems though and they were pretty rough. I will most likely pass unless the switch version gets some amazing reviews, which I imagine won’t happen...
“Kemco” Usually means boring generic RPG.
Playing it at home on PS4, or on the go on Switch/Android not changing that.
Once you've played one Kemco rpg you've played them all. They don't really mix things up.
Always up for another RPG adventure .. just not this one .
Ah another Kemco generic RPG. Next!
Kemco to me is a bit boring. Was fun in beginning to play games like 16bit era, but it's still same stuff over and over again. I just can't get into it anymore. It's a B quality game. But good for the fans
Looks good to me. I liked penny punching princess and this looks like it might have somewhat the same play style. But will only get this on a good sale.
Kemco. Another hastily thrown together effort. Hard pass.
I’ll give Kemco one thing, they sure are relentless.
Look interesting, on my radar now.
surprised these kemco games always get so much attention
Looks better than the rest but maybe on a sale only...
