The latest Splatoon 2 Splatfest joined in on the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate celebrations by asking players to side with heroes or villains. Now that the event is officially over, the results have been tallied up.
The villains of the Nintendo universe - including characters such as Bowser, Ganondorf and Ridley - have won by a single point. In total, it was a 2-1 victory over the heroes. Below is the full breakdown, courtesy of the Nintendo Versus Twitter account:

I played a few rounds to qualify for some Sea Snails, then went right back into Smash. I'll try and do better on the Frostfest, and actually try to properly participate.
I was busy this weekend and didn't get a chance to play, but I still got a Heroes shirt earlier last week. Guess I don't get squat!

I forgot to play. lol Splatoon 2 is always hovering around in my peripherals of gaming but often gets overshadowed by other things.

Forgot my sea snails the last few times. Glad I was finally on the winning team again!
No wonder. Hero was outnumbering Villain by so much, I just gave up after some rounds as I only ended up playing against my own team time and again, which doesn't count towards results. Just boring!
It's just really still a big flaw with Splatfest.
I've not been on Splatoon 2 very much the last few months... Missing this makes me a little sad as a result.
The bad guys were just too tough to beat...

(ironic that I pulled off this sweet Optimus Prime 'death from above' splat as Team Villain...this is bad comedy, LOL)
Seriously, though. With a rough losing streak through most of rank Defender, I thought Team Villain was going to be stopped. Matchmaker kept pitting us against 1-2 'star' rank Team Heroes when we had none, sometimes leading to defeat. What else is new? I fought back to 16W-17L by the end, so it looks like others had similar results and better (I wish there was some sort of graph that showed W/L% by Splat Power, I got some theories) Anywho, Splat Power never dipped past -100 points from 2033 (high, 2067) thanks to everyone else disconnecting/giving up, GRR! And I also missed the King title by exactly 1 win, bummer. But hey, thanks to all the the other villains and their minions who saw "all hell breakin' loose" and ended up "ridin' the eye of the storm" for making this victory possible! (OK, enough Stan Bush references, LOL)
Lastly, motion controls.
Tbh, Splatfests (and Splatoon in general) kinda got less fun as time went on. After playing only a few rounds I just went back to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
I suppose I kinda have to thank Splatoon's garbage community for ruining the game for me.
@abbyhitter Same here. I had a final to study for on Friday as well as my kid brother coming back home from college so this completely slipped my mind
I also forgot about this. I will not miss the next one, though!
