Team17 has today released a brand new trailer for the upcoming My Time at Portia, giving us a good look at the crafting element of the game.
If you've forgotten what this one's all about (we first heard about it heading to Switch way back in January) then let us quickly fill you in. You arrive in the enchanting town of Portia, ready to start a new life and restore your Pa's neglected workshop to its former glory. With just a workbench and a workshop handbook in your arsenal, your job is to gather, mine, and craft your way to making the workshop the best in all of Portia.
Crafting certainly seems to play a big part of your adventure, but you'll also be growing crops, raising animals, befriending the towns quirky inhabitants, and uncovering the mysteries that have been forgotten in this post-apocalyptic land. If you're still not sold on the idea, you might be interested to know that the game is inspired by the likes of Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon, Dark Cloud 2 and even Studio Ghibli.
My Time at Portia is currently available in Steam Early Access, with the Switch version "coming soon". We'll make sure to keep an eye out for that all-important release date.
Have you been looking forward to this one? Do you think you'll be picking up a copy? Tell us below.

Probably not going to pick it up any time soon.
They keep saying later this year, but this year is almost up. I’m not holding out hope when there are games on the eShop available for preorder and they don’t even come out until December.
Noice! Hopefully it comes out this year!
@Anti-Matter Hype!
Reminds me like another game "Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles" but no grinding like BoTW and Yonder. Something on the same design but different game play.
@gcunit
(Watched that trailer above)
I hope the game will be in Physical release considering Team17 as the publisher for My Time at Portia, same publisher as Overcooked.
@Frendo Like Portal Knights?
It's not adult and violent enough for me 🙄
I'll probably end up grabbing this
@Bermanator
Yup.
Portal Knights on Switch was downgraded.
First, it run on 30 fps, not 60 fps.
Second, Switch version DOESN'T Have Rainbow Island, both in Adventure Mode & Creative Mode.
@geordie
Duh !
That game is targeted for kids, you know.
Mehhh too much of this latley
Looks cool will pick this up for sure.
@Anti-Matter Duh!
I was being sarcastic.
Why get this when animal crossing is on the way?
@SimplyCinnamon53
"Why get this when animal crossing is on the way?"
No two games are the same.
Not interested. It seems like a Fortnite rip-off.
@Anti-Matter . Yeah they said it will be.
This is a game I'd definitely like to play. Hope it's out soon!
