Square Enix's Thief Arthur Joins SNK Heroines Cast As DLC Fighter

Semi-relevant: Rumor has it a Square rep is playable in Smash (other than Cloud). Here’s hoping for Geno.

my heart skipped! for a split second I thought it was the FF12 switch announcement Ive been hoping for..

This game looks really fun.

I love how Switch is home to so many callbacks and modern takes on the classics.

Not gonna lie, I don't know who the majority of these people are.

Meh, not hating on this character but SNK has so many female characters from their own franchise that they can use.

I only recognize the King of Fighter characters... And even then it's weird to see them in not 2D sprite forms from the old arcade versions.... So kinda like if they are unknowns to me as well.

So out of all these Square Enix ladies who they could had easily pick (Terra/Tina, Tifa, Lenna/Reina, Aya Brea, Rydia, Rosa, Celes, Marle, Purin, Riesz/Lise, Lara Croft, Yuna, Rikku, Lulu, Cidney/Cindy, Rinoa, Selphie, Kairi, Aeris, Schala/Kid, Luna, etc.), they instead choose...... a nobody cause that's how you give the fans what they want right?

Well, I'm glad they went with the random foxgirl tbh. I like her design and it fits with the game. Having the magical job-changing FFX-2 girls would be cool though too though.

It's a cherished dream. Its really the only reason I still have my PS2 still hooked up. That and Silent Hill 2, actually.

edit: And my psx games (symphony of the night, legacy of kain, silent hill, ff7/8, wipeout3, vagrant story, gundam ba2, some others)... ok and all my other ps2 games BUT ffxii stays in the disc tray then most

It is. But they decided to gender-bend the King Arthur story, and also put a twist on it and claim that Arthur wasn't a legendary male ruler, but actually a fox-girl thief who accidentally became ruler when she stole Excalibur.

It's an odd twist, but no more odd than the reinventionism that Hollywood engages in when it comes to stories like King Arthur or Robin Hood.

Never heard of her, but have the collectors edition preordered.

Forget that, Million Arther has Iori as a playable guest character! I mean, it also looks like a fun game, but now I actually wish King of Fighters XV would look like this:

@shonenjump86 i made a similar comment on the youtube vid... like, Im all for DLC characters from other franchises and all, but I feel that should happen AFTER they exhaust all the potential females from SNK games as fighters. I mean, we still dont have King from Art of Fighter /KoF AND Blue Mary Fatal Fury/KoF, for example. Fatal Cutie is a nice touch and addition to the cast, but I feel like SHE shouldve been the 1st DLC character as, once again, tons of other SNK girls to use 1st
