Mahjong might not have much of a following in the west, but over in the Far East, it's a big deal - hence the fact that we've seen plenty of video games based on it over the decades.
We've got another one to add to that total in the form of Enchanting Mahjong Match, which is scheduled for release on the Switch eShop on March 15th.
Here's some lovely, lovely PR:
Enchanting Mahjong Match is one of the connecting game classics. The main goal of this game is to connect the identical tiles with lines and remove them from the board. In Enchanting Mahjong Match, The line can change direction only twice. Or less, of course. Also known as Mahjong Solitaire, Shisen-sho, Onet, Lianliankan.
Features:
- Challenge yourself to 140 levels
- Easy to play, gets challenging as you level up
- Use special item to break through difficulties
- 28 beauties has its own fantastical artwork to delight you
- Replay each level as many times as you like
- Support 5 languages (English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean)
Will you be taking the plunge on this one, or have those "fantastic beauties" put you off for some reason? Let us know by lining up your tiles in the comments section below.

Hentai !
Typical games like that will strip out female outfits until naked.
Mahjong: Climax Edition.
Yeahhh... nahhhh.
Sigh, I got excited for a moment. Yet another Mahjong (read: Not Mahjong) Solitaire game. Can't we get an actual Mahjong game for once, geez. WTB competitive Mahjong
This does not seem to fit the times.
Mahjong solitaire is nice, but I do wish someone would bring over an actual mahjong game once - of the kind that's been thriving in Japan since Gen 3, too. Yes, it's niche in the west and quite complex (apparently there are poker-like elements and there are dice involved, too), but the latter what a comprehensive tutorial is for, and I bet Japanese games aren't void of them either. And niche Japanese games have had a seemingly larger presence in other regions lately, at least compared to the 90s.
Just pitching in as another person who would definitely be interested if it was actually Mahjong, but it isn't and now I am sad.
@Anti-Matter Do you even know what hentai is? What are you, Mariotehplumber?
This isn't anywhere close to hentai.
I had a feeling, based on the article title, what this was going to be. A shame. The game looked like a sort of fun puzzler. Instead, it reminds me of Sexy Poker(i.e a game that attempts to attract an audience who are aroused by anime girls). Honestly, it takes away from the game, & turns me off to it.
I would 100% download this without the "Beauties to Explore" aspect of the game. I play my switch almost exclusively on airplanes and in airports and would never feel comfortable playing this in public..... Plus I am confident if my wife saw me playing this she would not be pleased either, haha.
That video was weirdly suductive.
Sexy Mahjong.
How much? Under 10 i hope
Hope we get Wordjong too
Yet another not-actually Mahjongg game.
Good job there are two proper ones on the Japanese eShop!
Lol, we all play it for the girls!
@Galenmereth
There is group think and there is being considerate.
This is something that would be difficult for me to play if my wife is around. So hopefully, the display of the pictures can be turned off (or at least is not automatic).
