The Tomorrow Corporation is bringing its next game to Switch, it has been confirmed.
The sequel to the critically-acclaimed Human Resource Machine, 7 Billion Humans is set in a world where robots have taken all of the jobs mankind would normally do, leaving a whopping 7 billion people out of work.
To solve this rather thorny issue of mass unemployment, the humans are placed inside a single office building. It's your job to automate them in order to solve puzzles "inside your very own parallel computer made of people".
Over 60 levels of brain-scrambling conundrums will be included, to be solved using the game's unique programming language and all set to a funky new soundtrack by Tomorrow Corporation's very own Kyle Gabler.
There's no release date as yet, but we're excited already. What about you?

A bit late with the news. Excited for this though. Anything from Tomorrow Corporation is an insta-buy and the trailer was great as always.
With social commentary as sharp as ever, I'm not even upset that this trailer doesn't show anything of what the game is about. I'm sure it will be an enjoyable romp.
Seven billion? Guess that automatically makes the Switch the best selling gaming platform of all time.
An interesting fact that it is not mentioned by the writer of this article is that it is going to come out for PC and Nintendo Switch only.
It’s so... Tomorrow Corporation...
I'm excited. I love Tomorrow Corporation's weird, satirical games.
That's a great trailer. Huge. I've never seen such a great trailer.
7 billion people stuck in an office building?
Sounds more like reality.
Sounds like Lemmings.
will buy without question friendly robots
I don't remember this episode of Black Mirror.
That President looks and sounds awfully familiar ... art imitating life?
I love this studio.
INSTAbuy. Love these devs
World of Goo was amazing, but everything after that was kind of meh. Wished they made WoG2 with a whole bunch of new levels.
I don't know whether this trailer makes me laugh or cry. I DO know however, that that means "insta-buy".
I still need to play World of Goo...
Tomorrow Corporation rocks!!
The Trump robot 😂
@AlexOlney Exactly my thoughts! Watching the trailer, I kept thinking this would be such an awesome idea to develop in Black Mirror.
Subtitle of the game could be "too many people".
I’ve always loved this company’s games!
Always loved these games, insta-buy already.
Well, there's a much better solution to such a problem. (Hint: it starts with a S)
They are taking on the lesser traveled areas of computer programming again. Human Resource Management makes assembly coding fun, and it looks like this one is going to make programming for parallel processors fun. Just imagine the little character that follows the instructions in HRM accompanied by a dozen other little characters all trying not to step on each other's toes while they follow your (carefully considered?) list of steps.
As a computing sciences instructor, this is enticing, but really I just enjoy these games immensely for myself, as well. Well, at least Human Resource Machine, jury is still out on this one.
EDIT: Finally found where I saw the gameplay animations: http://tomorrowcorporation.com/7billionhumans
Haven't tried Human resource machine yet. It sounded cumbersome. A pity that this is a sequel to that.
@Henmii I gave it a go recently, gameplay videos don't really do it justice. It's difficult, but engaging and kind of relaxing. I'd recommend giving it a chance.
Was hoping for an entirely new game from them, ah well.
@FTPinkRabbit,
Maybe I'll try it someday. It sounds cumbersome, but it did also get a lot of praise. So who knows...
