The best download titles find a clever hook, and then naturally use a lot of solid design and skill to make it work. For The Sexy Brutale (developed by Cavalier Game Studios) it's all about repeating the same 12 hours over and over again, during which you need to solve and prevent the murders of multiple guests in a casino hotel.
It's a quirky premise and game, but a rather brilliant one according to our chums at Push Square. It seems to nail the gameplay and formula, so we were pleased earlier in the year when it was confirmed to be coming to the Switch. It's now popped up in the 'Coming Soon' section of the European eShop, confirmed for a 7th December release priced at £17.99 in UK money.

One of the biggest surprises of the year for me. Such a great game. Play with headphones, the soundtrack is phenomenal . Definitely recommended.

Well... I read this article this morning, and was super excited, because I've been holding off to buy this game on Switch. Later this afternoon, I got an email for the Humble Monthly, which includes this game. Guess I'll be playing it on Steam now.
Seems like odd timing to me. Not that I'm complaining, as I'll take it in a cheap bundle - but I'm not sure why the publisher/dev would decide to basically give the game away just before it launches on a new platform.
Yep, I've liked the look of this since day one too. Hmmm, I've already deferred Xenoblade 2 till Christmas as my Switch backlog is building up, but I do also really want this. Decisions, decisions...

When I saw the title on the eshop I heavily cringed... why put the word sexy in the title? I usually don’t care but it doesn’t seem like the right place for that word on a Nintendo system.

Reviewed this one for Switch Player - I loved it. A few slowdown issues but can't find fault with anything else.
