Our man on the ground at the Tokyo Game Show brought us a lovely gallery of cosplay the other day, but nothing compares to the cosplayer we affectionately call "Switch head guy" at Nintendo Life Towers, who was also strutting their stuff during TGS this year.
With the body of Mario and the head of a Switch, this is one of our favourite cosplays for quite some time; it looks like they're having a whale of a time playing ARMS too.
Do you think it gets hot in there?

I wonder how did he walk without seeing ?
Curious on how all that worked. Kind of silly, but also clever.
Awesome!
@Anti-Matter He probably did not walk at all like that and had to switch back to his regular human head to be able to walk again without any risk

This is the most amazing thing ever
It's like looking right into his mind.
Wait a minute.... Those hand gestures... Signalling the shape of a triangle... Each side of Switch Head forms a right triangle with his shoulders, totaling four... Switch Head only aimed in his ARMS match within the space of the angles expected to be within a right triangle... Switch Head has three colors- red, blue, and black... Red and blue surrounds the black... Red and Blue are the longtime colors of the Illuminati, which favors white and suppresses black... The four right triangles symbolize the warped imbalance between red, blue, black, and white that the Illuminati espouses...
Switch Head is Illuminati confirmed.
@Anti-Matter There's vents on the side of the Switch that he was probably looking through
That's...incredibly creepy to me for some reason hahaha. Too many flashbacks of pyramid head from Silent Hill.
Quick Nintendo use him in an advertisement.
Okay, there's crazy, and then there's bat-sh.. crazy. This is definitely the latter, but still respect to the guy, for making an actually working Switch helmet, so besides the judgment, props are due as well...
He's gaming habits went up to his head.
Never seen this pink version of NL before, I like it!
I've always liked the fact NL has "sections" with different colors depending on the subject of the article.
That. is the best. Odd, but really great. And yes, its really pink in here.
Just when I thought PSVR was so laughably bulky to be considered a pointless joke, somebody managed to create...this.
It's ok, Yoshida-san, you can come out of hiding now, we know it's you.
For something like this you most certainly don't go alone and you keep someone nearby to be your handler. Body may be free to move around, but looking through those tiny slits your vision would be way too compromised to navigate a crowded area and knowing cosplayers they wouldn't want to ruin the effect by removing part of the costume until they are done for the day.
I hope he shows how he pulled that off. That's some amazing cosplay.
Very cool. Cosplay that requires intelligence like this is a rare thing.
Now there's a man dedicated to the cosplay cause...bravo sir!
That has to be really hot to wear.
That reminds me of those Ultra Machine heads in Rusty's Real Deal Baseball.
@Ryu_Niiyama I imagine that there's a fan in there. Perhaps even a fully-functional mini AC unit.
A docked Switch connected to a portable screen? The "Handheld or home console?" debaters will be so confused...
Lol!
...now that is using your head!
