Just when you were beginning to think that today's Nindies Showcase should have featured way more giant mammals, Yono And The Celestial Elephants trumpeted onto the scene with an adventure to really sink your tusks into.
The work of Swedish developer Neckbolt Games, this top-down adventure title will have players solving puzzles and stomping through combat, with multiple dungeons, boss fights and cities to explore along the way. Set in a world where Humans, the robotic Mekani, and the undead Bonewights are on the verge of conflict, keeping the peace definitely sounds like a job for a plucky elephant hero.
With such adorably chunky toybox visuals, the game looks set to be a charming addition to an ever-expanding eShop catalogue. It launches as a console exclusive on Switch this October 12th.
Give us a trumpet in the comment section if you're looking forward to this one.

"Nintendo Switch 'exclusive'? Are Xbox One and PS4 owners clamouring for this?"
Did it for you, Slig. You can sleep tight now.
Looks adorable, though.
This games looks really funny with how adorable it is. Plus, it reminds me of the GBA Spyro games I used to play when I was a kid. Definitely a possible pickup.
Will it contain achievements?
Who needs destiny 2 or it's console exclusive content, who needs secret of Mana 3d, etc? We have this shower of ..... A big pass 😂
This is definitely the most adorable game I've seen in a while.
That's one way to make your game stand out, I guess. The style reminds me just a smidge of Little Big Adventure, which sets off the nostalgia for me. It otherwise looks like fairly standard adventure stuff, but it could certainly turn out well.
Celestial Elephants? Glad these aren't really a thing: imagine the destruction if one or more of them would fall down from the sky.
Not to mention the havoc their droppings would wreak upon the Earth's population...
It's adorably cute and it has a lot of interesting mechanics. I'll be interested in picking this one up for sure.
Day before my birthday? Auto-purchase. But seriously this looks adorable (yet hidden badarse).
It'd be cooler if the elephant had a sword. 😎
An exclusive? Is it a mobile game? They've mentioned that it was a console exclusive and I don't think it's for PC. So mobile?
@buildz hahahahahaha!! You deserve to be top comment.
@Multi I really don't care for Destiny 2 as a sad owner of Destiny 1. But Secret of Mana 3D pissess me off.
Ummmm. Yeah. I'll wait for reviews.
Want this to be great. Immediately captured the attention of my wife and kids.
Can't resist it... must stop myself from...
It looks elephantastic!
Ok, I'll go now...
In absense of more Captain Toad, this game will hopefully do me good.
Seems boring. zzz
I love top down adventures, so I'll be keeping an eye on this one. Having an adorable elephant as the star can't hurt either.
Super cute, and the gameplay actually looks fun!
@Priceless_Spork
o_O
Now I should like a generic adventure game because...?
@Multi I'd take this over Destiny in any form, not that being more appealing than Destiny is a tough feat to accomplish in my mind.
Elephant breathing fire from it's trunk? SOLD of course!!!
This looks so CUTE!! And really fun too. I think it's one of the highlights of the vid.
I like the looks of it, but is it just me or do the controls look..... A little less than polished? That's my biggest concern here; it looks like interactions with the environment and objects are a bit stiff and imprecise. I hope not, as I think the art style is great and adorable, and I'm always up for more adventure games!
Looks adorable. Definitely on my radar.
I love the look of this game! If the gameplay is half as good as the aesthetics than i'm sold!
If I had a Switch, it would be a day one buy! Too cute!!!!!
Cute game.
Too bad we can't get this for the 3DS e shop as well.
Looks nice!
I played this at PAX last weekend and it was pretty good. Good dungeon adventuring and puzzles with a fun main character. The overworld had interesting cities and NPCs. It sold me on picking it up.
