Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap is one of our favourite Switch eShop titles, and with good reason - it takes the incredible Master System original and gives it a HD lick of paint.
Another reason to adore the game is Michael Geyre's amazing arranged soundtrack, which uses Shinichi Sakamoto’s original tunes and updates them in some truly wonderful ways. If you've been humming those iconic songs since launch then you'll be pleased to learn that the official soundtrack is now available on Steam and Bandcamp.
33 main tracks are included, which is over an hour of music. However, that's not all - 56 bonus tracks provide an extra hour of "alternate versions, sketches, unused and/or rejected material, offering deep insight into the composition and arrangement process."
You can pick this up for just $4.99, or $3.99 if you purchase the game on Steam at the same time.

$4-$5 for so many songs. That's practically a steal.
It's great that they are so generous.
Interesting.
iTunes??
Totally getting this when I get home, I loved the soundtrack even if there's actually quite few melodies, but a wide range of instrumentations for all the different stages.
Instant buy. No second thoughts about it. Hell, that price is way too generous, indeed..
Das it mane.
An evening listening to a videogame soundtrack? No, I'm not that much a geek.
So, now all of a sudden it's actually cool to be featured on a bandcamp...
@Pod What does that mean? My Danish is a little rusty.
Just beat the game last night! The soundtrack is positively enchanting, and I'm definitely considering a purchase!
I still need to buy this remake. Maybe near the end of the year.
@ThanosReXXX
I wish that was Danish, it's just slang for "That's it, man!"
@Pod Ah, okay. My bad. You certainly could have fooled me. It's been many years since I've been to your lovely country, so I couldn't quite tell.
@Pazuzu666 There's actually a more expensive version, but it comes with a playable Metroidvania platformer attached. I recommend that version - it's probably the best way to hear what is admittedly an excellent soundtrack.
Humming since Launch?
Humming since 1989!
Insta buy no questions asked.
Still waiting for a physical release of this game.
Thats nice!!
@ThanosReXXX
Quite alright. Sounds like you remember Denmark for something good, so maybe it wasn't raining.
@Pod Oh, I remember Denmark for a fair number of good things, and not just one: Tuborg Grøn, the women, the kind and hospitable people, the countryside, the music, the food. And I could go on and on.
Weird place to ask, but is there a Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze Soundtrack anywhere to buy? I want that dag gone soundtrack!
@ThanosReXXX
Good to hear. Grøn Tuborg really is one of our best inventions. I haven't yet been to the Netherlands myself, but there might arise a couple of good opportunities in the coming years.
@Pod Well, if you ever do, be sure to come to Amsterdam, it's a great city. And I say that as a completely unbiased Dutch American...
