Next in the series of ARMS trailers which Nintendo has been kindly pushing out to introduce us to the roster of fighters is one for Ribbon Girl. She's been a bit of a fan-favourite and in addition to being able to jump mid-air up to four times, she can also fall to the ground really quickly.
This singing, fighting pop star is only 17 years of age, but don't let her lack of experience put you off. With her Sparky, Popper and the dreaded Slapamander weapons, she's certainly something of a force to be reckoned with.
Have a watch of the trailer above and be sure to share your thoughts on this blonde-haired brawler.

I want a trailer for my main Spring Man!
@8-Bit_Zorldo Me too. Honestly, design aside, they feel kinda dull. Not really much of a backstory or personality overall. Man, if this game wasn't so addictive, I'd complain about it more but here we are.
Those spiral eyes are a creepy, but nice touch in the detail department.
Her default color and ability (4 times jumps) kinda remind me of Descendant of Princess Peach.
@Anti-Matter You know, I was thinking while I was playing and deciding that she's my main (at least so far) that it makes sense that she's my main with her ability to pseudo-float since I always played Peach in Mario 2 because she could float. I didn't even think of the similar color scheme, though, you're right! She's like a younger Peach without the 80's Big Hair
I find it interesting that all the female characters are the best!
Eh, I prefer Twintelle. Short skirts are a cheap shot.
@Darius_Truxton Might just be most popular because there's 4 human(ish?) female characters in the test punch with interesting movesets, with 2 male human characters (the one being the most vanilla standard of all characters. So generic one of his victory phrases is his own name.) and 2 "freak" characters.
Though Spring Man seemed to be winning a whole lot among what seemed like the top tier players in my lobbies.
@BezBot you Main man that's a spring or your main that is Spring Man. hmmmmmmm...
@NEStalgia Well look at the stats. Mechanica won week 1 and came 2nd week 2. Ribbon Girl won week 2 and Twintelle gained some momentum at the end of week 2. Kid Cobra has potential to be a favorite but Byte and Barq don't stand much of a chance IMO
@NEStalgia The meta will change over time, though. Spring Man only seems good when he's at low health. So if a method of locking him down is found, then suddenly he's on a lower tier.
@Darius_Truxton I'm surprised it wasn't Min Min based on how the set started, but still, the roster is just mostly packed with female characters so odds were high. There's one "cool" male character (surprised he didn't win but I couldn't really get him to win reliably either...He's got a cool gimmick but it really works more on the inexperienced than quickly adaptable players.) and one fairly bland male character. The freak/monster characters will have a more limited appeal. I can't stand listening to the hulking mummy growl, and the slime blob...just...no.
So odds of popularity+skill landing on any characters it was kind of Ninjara vs RibonMinTellIcha.
But we'll be getting more fighters over months too, so the "meta" could be quite shaken up like Splatoon was as it evolved.
They will add more characters afterwards after the release for free!
Thought this video would give a bit of insight into Ribbon Girl. Fine with the characters not having a back story but it could have been narrated by the announcer giving some stats and talking about her fighting style.
@Ryu_Niiyama
Mechanica seems to be the only one lacking spiral eyes among the most human looking characters, so it must be a side effect of the genetical engineering involved to give them those Arms (or Ponytails), or none of those characters but her is really human.
I want a video on byte and bars because they are honestly reminding me of paw patrol right now.
@frogopus Twintelle doesn't need to, she's a hard counter to Spring Man. She has a stun counter as a basic move, and since Spring Man users want to spam attacks when they're low... That's a lot of opportunities to be stunned. She has a much higher skill cap, but once higher level players master her, Spring Man players will be hard pressed to win against Twintelle.
