UK publisher Bitmap Books - previously responsible for The Unofficial NES/Famicom: A Visual Compendium and Super Famicom: The Box Art Collection - has announced that its next project is NEOGEO: A Visual History, an officially licensed publication celebrating one of the most iconic gaming platforms ever made - and one which will be instantly familiar to Switch owners, as HAMSTER's excellent range of ACA NEOGEO titles has effectively turned the console into a portable arcade machine.
NEOGEO: A Visual History is packed with hardware photography, cover artwork, concept artwork and associated memorabilia, as well as interviews with key SNK staff such as Yasuyuki Oda, Tatsuhiko Kanaoka (AKA Falcoon) and Hideki Asanaka.
At 400 pages long, this hardback book will come in three different editions. The Standard Edition costs £29.99, while The Collector’s Edition - £49.99 - ships in a heavy board black slipcase with five A4 posters, two stickers and an enamel pin badge. This edition is exclusive to the pre-order period.
If you want something even fancier, then the MEGA Edition offers the same package as the Collector’s Edition but comes in a metallic gold slipcase and includes an exclusive ‘Memory Card Kid’ black T-shirt. Costing £69.99, the MEGA Edition is limited to 330 copies and comes with a stamped letter of authentication.
Pre-orders open at 7AM BST on Monday 3rd July 2017, direct from the publisher. Worldwide shipping is available and delivery is expected in September; if you'd like to sign up for an email update the moment pre-orders open, you can do so here. Will you be buying this one?

I've never been into the Neo Geo, it was always more a curiosity than a real option to own back in the day. However, with all the titles becoming available on the Switch, and the recent excellent books from Bitmap (NES, SFC Boxart etc), I'm very tempted to get this when it releases
Neo Geo was revived on Switch.
Really want this. The Neo Geo is the perfect subject for one of their big glossy hardback books.
wife 2 kids just no space for this
Mega Edition limited to 330 copies, nice reference.

I might have to check this out.
Does anyone own any of Bit Map's previous books? Curious how they compare to Read Only-Memories output; I think I've been spoilt by their Mega Drive book and expect books like this Neo Geo one to live up to that tome.
FYI: 'Direct from the publisher' link is broken.
I must have this. No matter what.
I was going to go there, but the image a few posts up nailed it. Well played publisher, very well played. This is coming from someone who owns a 2 slot big red cabinet and a healthy stack of carts for it too.
Shinkiro's artwork is fantastic, so I'll definitely get this one!
It sure beats the KOF '96 artbook that came with that strange bonus disc I have for my Neo Geo CDZ.
@davidevoid I have their Super Famicom box art book and the quality is fantastic. Very sturdy, nice material, great pictures. I pre-ordered their Super Nintendo Compendium and I will probably order this SNK book too.
I am pumped this is an officially licensed release. We should get some nice content
