The original Splatoon immediately resonated with fans for its quirky look and outrageous fashion. Now with Splatoon 2 on the horizon the Squid Research Lab has discovered that there will be a new wardrobe available from day one. In this timeline two years have passed since the first Splatoon outing, meaning that fashion and styles have moved on.
Promotional images have been sent to the lab, which have showcased the new trends hitting the Inkling world. These four brands / styles include Annaki, Tentatek, Splash Mob and Toni Kensa. Read below for the full descriptions given to these new 'looks':
Annaki
Annaki has been making waves in recent years. Featuring elements from punk counter-culture, their hand-printed T-shirts and intricately customised gear provide a special feeling of uniqueness to the wearer. The brand boasts many enthusiastic fans, and there's a lot of buzz surrounding their upcoming collections.
Tentatek
Activewear brand Tentatek have swept the world with their high-tech footwear. Their fusion of fashion with the latest technologies has allowed them to mature into a sophisticated brand. Many top athletes get their gear from Tentatek, and their preferred items are so popular it’s not unusual to find them sold out across the board.
Splash Mob
Splash Mob branded gear is popular with those who feel a little bit more grown up than the average squid kid. Discerning Inklings seem to appreciate the sense of luxury afforded by the elegant designs, high-quality material and attention to detail in the construction of the garments. Splash Mob’s extensive selection of gear includes tops, eyewear and shoes.
Toni Kensa
From fashion designer Toni Kensa comes his eponymous brand of gear. Although this brand favours monotone colours and simple, structural designs, the Inklings of the city can’t get enough of Toni Kensa, and his gear is sold in boutiques throughout Inkopolis.
Which fashion style do you think you'll make your own?

Splatoon genuinely makes me want to move to a semi-gentrified urban district and become an insufferable puffed up fashion-dork. #Goals
I'm actually more interested to see how many hair options there will be...
@thesilverbrick Indeed. I've wanted that event since the first game.
Yeah, but... Where are the pants?
I NEVER wear shorts. It's always jeans for me. HOW COULD THIS BE AN ACCURATE REPRESENTATION OF MY PORTRAYAL?

I think ill go with the style the girl has on the cover. Looks so good and fresh. It is like the essence of splatoon in fashion form.
Still no pants/shorts variety?
Stay fresh
@PowerStar Skin color, pants, and hair style are in inkling settings, not the shops.
@Jaxad0127 don't forget you can change eye color as well. ( Gender is implied)
@YouSeemFRAZZLED They are alive...and they are coming for you...
I love all this world-building for Splatoon!
I don't know about you, but I'm more interested what gear will be unlocked in salmon run mode…
I must have the duck boots
I hope I can use the Ika Musume costume again :<
And here I thought my Nintendo was going to have a use for coins with squid kid fashion #expiringcoins
I'll go with Annaki.
I hope they still have past brands though; I liked the Rockenberg style.
lol, I had those splash mob clothes in Splatoon One...
If they don't change how gear works (wait they already did, didn't they?), I will have the same outfit in this Splatoon Two...
I'm really digging the Toni Kensa and Annaki lines. I'll probably mix and match though to make it more personalized.
