When Nintendo unveiled an infographic of confirmed games coming to the Switch eShop in 2017, we searched for information and shared a breakdown of all the new names that could be seen. Four of those titles now have a confirmed publisher - PLAYDIUS.
It's a new Indie publisher "which will focus on publishing and marketing Indie games across all platforms"; it's confirmed it'll be at booth #11124 at PAX East, too.
Our previously written profiles on the four games the studio is bringing to Switch are below.
sU and the Quest for meaning - Developed by Guillaume Bouckaert and familiar from Indie Jam events, this is a stylised 'endless hardcore platformer'.
NeuroVoider - From Flying Oak Games, this is a twin-stick shooter 'RPG' that you can play in "coop with up to 4 friends, or go alone in an adventure of hack'n'slash rampage, with a pinch of rogue-lite, and some permadeath". This seemed to make a good impression on PC and other consoles last year.
Pankapu - A title that's previously arrived on Steam in episodic form and seems to have been well received, it's a "narrative and episodic platform/action game that takes place in the dreams of Djaha'rell, a child once troubled by a tragic incident."
Away: Journey to the Unexpected - This is a 'new wacky & colorful first-person rogue-lite' from Aurelien Regard (well known for The Next Penelope). It has an eye-catching art-style that you can see below and is due out this year.
As for PLAYDIUS, it's produced a sizzle reel to showcase its full range of upcoming projects.
Do you like the look of the upcoming Switch eShop titles?

More games is always good. Unless of course it's RCMADIAX.
Did they just use the Switch snap at the end of their sizzle reel? lol.
Other than sU and the Quest for Meaning, they all seem alright. Will check them out if they review well and get the pricing right.
boiling bolt and post-human war look interesting. striker's looks to be a good choice for multiplayer. pankapu is a stylish platformer and that space is a tough one. it's going to need something to distinguish itself.
anandtech article about the switch power consumption:
http://www.anandtech.com/show/11181/a-look-at-nintendo-switch-power-consumption/2
a quote: the Switch apparently can’t pull enough energy from standard 5V-output power banks to meaningfully recharge its battery while gaming. So with a 5V power bank, if your Switch is fully depleted, you’ll need to stay attached to the bank the entire time you’re playing, or take a break and let the bank recharge the Switch while it’s sleeping. In the case of the latter, the recharge rate should only be a bit lower than if you had used the AC adapter.
Dat caps lock though...
I like the look of both Pankapu and Away, definitely interested in those.
PLAYDIUS, going the RCMADIAX route?

This makes little sense. V provides no useful information unless you also provide A or W.
"A normal lost phone" on Switch would be EPIC!
What's with this little burst of indie greatness? Loving the idea of playing these on the go already!
Pankapu and Away have a lot of potential. The others don't look bad either, but I'm not sure they'll be exactly up my alley. Nice to see more potentially interesting indies announced, either way.
Pankapu looks great, that's the main title that caught my attention. I hope Nintendo doesn't include devs that filled the eshop wirh trash..at least the games being introduced are games..not cash grabs. won't name any names..but u know.
Away looks okay, and Pankapu looks it might be fun, but there's no getting around how bland that art style looks.
@BornInNorway81 Don't even joke about it!!
Away: Journey to the unexpected looks great! I'm very intrigued and sorta surprised I've never heard anything about this title before. And its coming to Switch too? Geez, the later months are looking really good for my Switch. Just... not so much right now.
Waiting till May is murder on my patience.
Dang, Away and Pankapu look fantastic and right up my ally. The others look really boring.
Cool portfolio of games there. Away appeals as Does Normal Lost Phone. Being 'em on!
Pretty classy looking stuff to open with!
Away is the only one I'll keep my eye on. The others unfortunately just really look bland and have seen thousands of times.
@Jamotello Totally off topic but I'm glad you posted that here, it's very good to know!
These all look cool, except sU, doesn't really interest me at all. Neuro Voider seems promising just for the co op and customization options.
What's up with the kid's hair in Away? lol it's a mess. Looks fun and interesting though along with Pankapu!
away looks awesome the rest look meh.
@BornInNorway81 the article provided it, the qutoe jsut proved the nutshell for it to be in.
Away looks nice. Sadly its rogue.
Away looks great. Should go a long way towards making up for the disappointment of Aurelien not being able to bring The Last Penelope to the Wii U.
