Last year we voiced the opinion that Wii U owners should be thankful for Lego Dimensions, which has kept the console alive with its expansion packs despite other titles drying up. Even though the Switch is less than a month away, Wii U owners can still look forward to more block-busting content with the release of a new wave of packs, some of which focus on the recently-released Lego Batman Movie.
The trailer above shows the story pack related to that film, which is basically the only way to "play" the movie as there isn't an accompanying stand-alone video game. This pack is joined by a "fun pack" which contains Excalibur Batman, as well as two other fun packs based on Knight Rider (YES!) and Adventure Time.
Will you be picking any of these packs up, or have you given up collecting Lego Dimensions? Let us know by building a comment (out of words) below.

Most likely we will , it's a shame about Skylanders as that was the most popular toys to life at our house Legos comes in at second the only draw back to The Lego Dimensions on Wii U is tough need a hard drive to download the packs they require a ton of space .
Also see the movie. It's excellent.
Lego Dimensions had an automatic 5GB download on my Wii U a few days ago and a 2GB download about a week before that. Something to keep in mind for people buying a Switch, you'll probably need a bigger SD card to complement the included 32GB, games download a lot of content these days whether you ask them to or not. I could turn off automatic downloads but we will probably get the $50 Lego Batman set someday when I can get it for $25.
The toys-to-life genre is not my cup of hot chocolate. I still haven't forgived the greedy people at Disney for shutting down LucasArts...
@kingc8 I asked on Twitter a couple of weeks ago and got the typical "We have no information on that" reply. I'm wondering if the necessity of having the portal to play a fairly large portion of the game and that being impractical for portable mode is what is staying the hand. It just won't work with the NFC in the controllers (like the Skylanders solution) when you have to move characters on the portal to different sections in battles and need more than one character at a time to be read by the game. Would have to be a home-only title and that would mess up the marketing for the hybrid Switch. I'm just guessing at the possibilities.
I want this, but I'll wait until I have exhausted all of my other Lego Dimensions Packs first to purchase it.
@G-Boy you just know there are some backroom shenanigans going off to get Disney into Lego Dimensions.
Marvel, Star Wars, Indy, Disney Classics and Guybrush mixing it up with the existing franchises would be a licence to print money, if only for the Justice League/Avengers crossover potential.
I hope they have more Cartoon Network properties coming too. I'd buy a Lego Mordecai and Rigby (and a Steven Universe) in a heartbeat.
@RadioHedgeFund I'd go for a Courage The Cowardly Dog or Johnny Bravo. Besides the Cartoon Network ones, I'd like to see them throw in some nickelodeon/MTV...Ren And Stimpy would be fun to play...but also, how about Family Guy, American Dad or even some game companies (Sony IP exclusive to the PS4's version, Nintendo IP exclusive to the Switch's version (if there is one coming) and vice versa...including Sega maybe too). The possibilities would be endless, especially if they do exclusive sets for exclusive consoles...more money in their pockets! I'd skip the disney ones myself (I hate anything that disney touches and does from the 90's on up), but, if they do disney, I'd also love to see them do dreamworks cartoons, since most of the franchises they have on there already are Universal properties.
Back to the topic, I'm still wanting this game, but there's now too many play sets out for it...Back To The Future, Ghostbusters, Knight Rider is coming, Wizard Of Oz and Scooby Doo...would be expensive for me, but I'm still wanting the game to add to the other Lego games I own.
@kingc8 I'm sure it will come over...especially since they're not really making a sequel to the game, just bringing out more playsets instead...give it time!!!
