For Wii U eShop fans wondering what's still coming in 2017, there's good news as 2D stealth platformer Sneaky Ninja is planned to land on the store early next year. We're assured that the game plays like something between Mario and Mark of the Ninja, combining lighthearted platforming with tactical stealth action for a game anyone can enjoy. It's been a 5 year labour of love by the sole developer at Starfall Studios who is behind this upcoming release.
Here's a clip from the new spooky Halloween level, Graveyard Gauntlet:
As well as a previously released trailer:
This certainly looks like one to keep your eye on, although as the developer admits it is likely to launch in the 'Nintendo Switch danger zone'. It could be a nice downloadable swansong for Nintendo's home console, however.

This looks soo good, I need to get this when it comes out
Wow, this looks very nice. The main character reminds me of Kirby.
It's nice to know that not everyone has jumped overboard and abandoned ship.
Nice. I backed this project on Kickstarter.
Looks great. If you like 2D action platforming games, Wii U is a great place to get them.
Looking forward to this one but I do wonder what our setup will be once we snag a Switch.
I'm sold , looks awesome . At my house we have no plans of getting rid of our Wii U anytime soon even though we plan on getting a Switch day one .
For games like this I hope the eShop doesn't die as quickly as I fear it will. Since casuals had very little reason to buy a Wii U, perhaps the few people who did buy it are more avid on average and will continue to buy games for it, even if it's also likely they'll be the first to buy a Switch.
This actually looks like a lot of fun based on the trailer. I'm not sure what exactly is going on in the game play video though.
