The Simpsons TV show might be well past its prime, but you have to give the writers their props. They aren't shy of jumping on a bandwagon in order to make headlines. D'oh! It worked too!
In the clip below entitled "Pokémon Now?", we see Homer visiting the local zoo with his beloved children Bart and Lisa. Unfortunately he's become so addicted to Pokémon GO that he isn't paying attention while Lisa has a special moment watching a baby giraffe take its first steps. Bart ends up in the lion's den, also, thanks to Homer's addiction to capturing Pokémon.
This clip appears to be part of a future episode of The Simpsons, so watch out for that; yet another big brand jumps on the Pokémon GO hype train. As always, let us know what you think with a comment below.

That moment when you realize you stopped viewing Homer as the "dad" character you saw him as when you used to watch the show, and see him now more as someone who could be your colleague...
I think the clip is an reused older animation with new voices added, not a part of a future episode.

I don't like the Simpsons. The voice acting annoys me for some reason.
I was just gonna say, animations take months to create, there's now way this is new. But it was already denunked, haha.

After years of bootleg-ish depictions of Pokémon in the show, hearing Homer voicing actual Pokémon names feels so weird.

Almost related - was watching an old episode of Doctor Who last night - I'm about 2 years behind, no rush since they are skipping 2016 - and was pleasantly surprised to see the Doctor playing tennis on the Wii. I'd say Wii Sports but I played a rather good tennis game on Wii so I'll imagine he was playing that one.

I must be the only one who still watches the Simpsons. I remembered the clip as soon as I saw it. It is from a episode this past season, so maybe I should not go to hard on people for not knowing it. They just added the names of the Pokemon. It would take a lot of time and money to just make the clip. This is not South Park.

I've seen a bit of recent Simpsons stuff and it's up their with the early seasons that people over rate with nostalgia.

Obviously it had to be a re-dubbed clip. There's know way they could have it written and animated in the time since Pokémon Go came out.

@Megumi_Sagano I felt compelled to watch "The Late Philip J. Fry" recently. There were so many things that could be done in Futurama that couldn't be done in The Simpsons, or elsewhere for that matter...
