Glitches are commonplace in modern games due to their size and complexity, and Splatoon has seen its fair share of bugs which have subsequently been busted by patches.
However, it looks like the last patch introduced a glitch of its own. Players are discovering that in certain situations their character can become invisible to their rivals, giving them an obvious tactical advantage.
Nintendo has moved quickly to nuke this issue - version 2.10.0 (9MB in size) is available now:
Fixes a bug where it could appear as if players are floating in space off the stage, though actually they are on the stage.
Here's the glitch in action:

Play fair or be a square.
It's not a glitch, it's an advanced tech
2.10.0? Update comes without big changes, wouldn't 2.9.1 be more appropriate?
They also added a feature to Spyke so that you can add slots to your gear for 30,000 gold. I guess it's to replace the snail rewards from Splatfests.
Hmm, I haven't played Splatoon for a while (aside from squads here and there). Although I haven't seen it yet, I'm glad they're patching it to make the game more fair. 😉
@abbyhitter, thats been around since the game came out and also, reroll(you must have 3 slots first fully upgrade first) as well. You need to be lv. 20 to do it.

That feature has been there for at least 12 months.
@BornInNorway81 @spongebob16 Oh, lol. I just found out. I never talk to Spyke without the snails. I just randomly talked to him yesterday, and he offered to add slots for 30,000 gold. I thought it was a new feature. Sorry about that.
Haven't played Splatoon in a while, time to get stuck in I guess
