The list of major retail releases on Wii U due in 2016 is rather short, which makes the launch of Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE rather enticing. It's had some positive reviews, and for our part we gave it a strong recommendation; now it's down to how many copies it can sell in stores and on the eShop.
For RPG fans with a taste for Japanese pop culture it is, in principle, an easy sell. Nintendo of Europe's launch trailer for the game, clocking at over four minutes, also does a nice job of showing the game off and highlighting how it actually plays. It must also be said that singing and dancing while saving humanity is a decent way to spend a weekend.
Check the trailer out below and let us know if you're planning to pick this up.

I'll admit the visuals are good, but I that the game could have gone down a similar route with Persona 4 dancing all night, in that it could've delved deeper into the stress and adversity faced by young adults.
Actually, I played the first 3 hours and it already demonstrated how tough the music industry is
I was interested in this when I first saw how stunning it looks, and now this trailer has made me want it badly! Does anybody know anywhere that still has the Fortissimo Edition? Sadly the Nintendo UK Store looks like it has sold out.
Mamori is so cute!
Have the Fortissimo edition and Just finished the first boss, awsome game!
Waiting for mine to come in the post! Looking forward to this. Hopefully I can forgot about this referendum
@tobibra Lucky you good to hear you're enjoying it! May I ask where you bought it from?
@Ed_Fairway With Nintendo publishing? Yeah right.
Game is a real looker, I have to admit. I love the bright colors.
@Ralizah I don't know, while it has been a base breaker for some time, Pokemon Black and White definitely pushed the boundaries of nintendo's normally formulaic storytelling.
A 4 minutes trailer? NO THANKS! I didn't avoid most videos till now for see spoilers now that I started to play it XP
Anyway it's an amazing game, JRPG fans can't allow themselves to ignore this gem!
@Squashy they don't have more in stock (I just checked) but I preordered it from a Norwegian website named spillsjappa. Only Norwegian site that hadit up for preorder when I did it.
Special edition just shipped yesterday, can't wait. Still can't get over "Barry Goodman" I'm surprised they didn't get a Japanese person to speak English for this guy, like they've done on some subs recently for Americans or any English speaking people in Japanese shows
Picking it up at lunch! Very excited, Atlus is awesome.
@BakaKnight You will not be disappointed at all! I am already in the 2nd dungeon and loving it all the way!
"It must also be said that singing and dancing while saving humanity is a decent way to spend a weekend." - I... Agree.
Played up to the second dungeon so far and it's a very nice game. The combat is especially pleasing.
@Ed_Fairway I agree, but I'm convinced that was a fluke.
Anyway, the game attempted social commentary, but Nintendo localized that out for the international release.
@Ralizah Fair enough
I do love the aesthetic but the whole JRPG genre leaves me cold. Now, a real time action game in this style...
@tobibra Oh ok thanks very much for replying, I will keep searching!
Picked up my preorder, looking forward to the weekend!
Got my copy. Now to go home and relax....... 😄😄😄😄😄
@DoctorOverbuild Have you unboxed your copy yet?
Take a guess as to what you think that I am going to be doing with my Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE: Fortissimo Edition... XD
Looks very good. Picking this up next week, can't wait 😊
@Alundra-1998 It hasn't arrived! I'm really upset about it! Keeping it sealed aren't you!
@DoctorOverbuild Keeping it sealed? How did you know? heh...
Awww I am sure that yours will be delivered eventually. You cannot get screwed over this time as you didn't order it from GAME.
@Alundra-1998 Hopefully it comes tomorrow!
I want to play this right now, but having imported the limited edition, I still have a few weeks to wait.
It's such a hassle to import every single time. Why can't Nintendo just sell their stuff over here in Brazil?
@Heiki Because, honestly, that would make too much sense. XD
No offense, but some companies don't have common sense...
@Alundra-1998 Apparently it makes sense to Sony, Microsoft and everyone else.
@Heiki Ah yes... It seems to be solely just Nintendo then...
I want to play it but I had to order it online, and it won't be coming until the 28th at the earliest
@Squashy so not sure if thisll help but at gamestop where I go they actually had more copies of the fortissimo edition than standard editions they didnt even have enough standards to cover preorders but a surplus of the special edition maybe check with your local shop to see if they had a similar issue
@Nintenow_89 Oh thanks for that, hopefully here in England we've got the same thing going on at GAME (which is like our equivalent of Gamestop). I'll find out if my local one has it then, thanks!
@Nintenow_89 I've phoned my local GAME and they said they only got 1 copy of the Fortissimo Edition which they've sold, but they might be getting some more on Wednesday so I shall be waiting with great hope!! Thanks again for your help
@Squashy No problem I was honestly pretty shocked when my store told me they had extra of the fortissimo ed like all things Nintendo that are special/limited edition I expected them gone before release which is why I preordered when they went up anyways im rooting for ya gl out there
@Nintenow_89 Thank you! I'm surprised by that too, either it was a mistake to send all those to your Gamestop or maybe Nintendo Of America have made a lot of the special edition.
I don't think this game will sell well at least here in the States.
