Late last week we gave you a reminder that some queuing would be required to grab a slot for The Legend of Zelda's demo at the Nintendo NY store. With just 500 appointments available it was an opportunity reserved for the most eager and hardy of gamers within traveling distance of New York.
KirbyGCN17 has posted a nice video showing some of those fans, from the dark early hours of the morning on litter-strewn streets to nearer the store's opening, when sunlight shows us just how tired some of these fans were. A particular highlight is seeing two duke it out in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (apparently not Super Smash Bros. Melee as we originally said) while they wait.
Check it out below.

I still think they should have put the demo on Paper Mario Color Splash. Though judging by it's sales they probably should have put it on SFZ. Put PM could still happen I guess, it would be a nice segue to get the game mentioned at E3.
@rjejr I don't think that would be a good idea, considering 90% of the people hated what they saw about the game.
That's blatantly Brawl...
You call yourself a Nintendo journalist? Think you'll have to change the title Thomas...
Tomorrow people! It's happening tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And then we have to wait 8-9 months to actually get it....but still....
@radsutton
It's actually Smash Bros. 4, in any case @ThomasBW84 is WAY off by saying Melee since Ike is on the screen.
That's some dedication. Do they lose their place in line when they go pee?
Saw a Chevy Camaro. Instantly think that one of the fans owned it. Sorry, I'm a bit of a petrol head.
@EdJericho Ooo you're right. I kinda assumed they were on a laptop... I didn't even think about Ike, I just saw the course.
@MrCafecito "90% of the people hated what they saw"
That's EXACTLY why you put the demo on the disc, to get people to buy a game they don't want to buy.
Some dedication. The smart people brought chairs, books to read and some electronic entertainment.
@rjejr Yeah, you're actually right in some ways. Obviously, there is an audience for Zelda whatever. But I guess they're trying to build up hype which is good.
@EdJericho My bad!
Ha, I have that same shirt as Reggie is wearing in the pic @ the very end of the video. X'D
@rjejr Fair enough, still, Zelda is way more popular so they chose it
I've only ever once camped out for tickets, it was to see Oasis at the SECC,sometime around 2000/01 . There was hundreds of us there from 8pm,it turned into a massive party. The ticket office was supposed to be opening at 8am but around 7am we were told by someone over a tannoy there were no tickets for sale, they'd all been sold the previous day. We had such a great night we weren't even bothered in the end.
Christ, it looks like they're is some kind of future dystopia (possibly as imagined in 'an 80s scif-movie like Robocop).
Someone needs to clean those street, for the love of God.
Lol, wow. That looks like the slums of NYC. Dirty streets and loser neckbeard, basement-dwelling, girlfriend-less dorks lined up with a 3DS in hand to play a Zelda game. lol. Sign me up! I need new friends.
I've never seen such dirty streets! What an eye opener! Americans really are litter louts!
I've had pizza at that Pronto Pizza fun fact!
I can practically smell the B.O. from here.
Its cool to see all the kids lined up and excited, the smelly gross balding adults not so much.
