It's not long now until we have an all new adventure with Fox and his crew in Star Fox Zero, while Star Fox Guard will be an eShop extra with a co-operative and tactical edge. As the main event Zero has certainly divided opinion, yet with the final game around the corner there's a natural buzz around its arrival.
Nintendo's keen to tap into this and has released an awesome new video showcase for both titles. In each case there's footage and glimpses of features and cameos not previously shown off, so fans of the franchise are sure to feel the hype when watching. Some new snippets of information include the use of Fox and Falco amiibo for 'air strikes' once a day in Guard, and we get a look at the Falco amiibo unlock, Black Arwing, in Zero.
Check it out below.

I hope someone writes a review of this soon! Hype!
i really hope that the nx plays this natively, and on the road. i do like how they jsut animated a 2d picture of hands holding a gamepad heh.
After playing lots of Starfox 64 these last few days and possibly enjoying it even more than I did back then,my hype is at it's maximum level.I seriously cannot wait!
Edit: I've just watched the video and maximum hype levels have increased by several notches.It's looking fantastic! If this doesn't get you excited for it nothing will.
Can this be played with the pro controller?
I have no desire to play with the Wii U pad.
I need to preorder this... and maybe track down a Fox amiibo.
Also, walker from Star Fox 2 spotted! They should really release that more-or-less finished version...
I was skeptical of this game when the first videos surfaced, but it is looking fantastic now.
Can't wait! I've been playing a lot of Star Fox 64 3D in preparation for this!
I can feel the Platinum influence in this game. I can't wait!
Getting this as a birthday present in mid may. I have twilight princess HD and some of the upcoming Nintendo selects to keep me busy til then.
The hype is defiantly real, I'm so pumped. I normally don't like long trailers like that but they did an excellent job. I am more appealed to short ones like hyper light drifter that gives you a taste but once again they did an excellent job.
Also does anyone know what comes with first print edition for US? It showed a art book look alike but I think that's Europe. They seem to get a shirt and a hat? I'm guessing US just gets Star Fox guard.
So falco unlocks black arwing what about the starfox amiibo?
I don't think I can get into this without being able to use a different controller then the tablet or without multiplayer besides co-pilot.
@Morph Video looks like it shows it unlocking the classic vehicle from StarFox on snes
@Yorumi
Regarding the same 4 levels I think they are actively not trying to spoil the later levels and reveal of Andross which I like.
I still have my concerns over the control choice but I love Star Fox so have been unable to resist the temptation to pick it up day 1!
What's gonna have the First Print Edition? Apart from Star Fox Guard physical. What's the other thing they put it in?
I've watched this trailer twice now, and both times have left me feeling excited. It seems with each trailer shown of Star Fox Zero, I get a better and better impression of it. Admittedly, I'm more interested in Star Fox Guard than I am Star Fox Zero (I think Dillon's Rolling Western got me interested in Nintendo made tower defence games), but both games show fun ways of utilising the Gamepad, and I'm looking forward to trying them out.
It seems Star Fox Guard is eShop only, even with the special edition, which is a bit of a shame. It also means I really need to sort out my data problem... it was all so much easier with memory cards.
@Yorumi
Thats fair enough!
@jbopatrick ah cool, thanks, I couldn't watch the video
I would buy this game if it had competitive multiplayer (dogfights).
While feel like this is the star fox that will get me into the franchise, I'm still more excited for project guard.
Hyped!!
