Remember the Pokkén Tournament controller we covered a while back? A new version is being released in Japan this June, and it's clad in the signature colours of the world's most famous Pokémon.
Costing 3,758 Yen, the Hori-made pad will be identical to the original in terms of form and functionality, but it's yellow. And it has a Pikachu logo on the front! It's still only compatible with Pokkén Tournament, but that doesn't make us want it any less.

Don't forget to check out our video review of the original pad below. You can pine for this peripheral in the comments section.

You said it worked on the PC though right?
Yawn
Yep, works on PC.
It looks gorgeous.
can we have a Legends of Zelda version of that Controller Nintendo
@MysteryAozz I'm sorry, but it's delayed.
Aww man. I think I'm gonna have to shell out the money for this. It just looks too cool
@Sanicranfast @SanderEvers @Spin
Also works on PS3 (and by extension PS4).
Would make more sense if it wasn't a controller only meant for Player 2.
Looks awesome, but totally useless! Making thousands of useless peripherals, now THAT'S Nintendo's forte!!
Okay knowing Hori we'll probably get the whole cast, I may not get pikachu, but if they release a Gardevoir, Lucario, Braxian, Sceptile, or Garchomp count me in. The sad thing is my standard pokken controller is coming tomorrow :/, but I don't mind having 2 if it looks as Slick as pikachu's.
Also people have been saying you can use this for PC, can someone confirm? I'd love to play Genesis classics on steam with this thing. If not it's still a pretty controller
@Henmii It's made by HORI, NOT by Nintendo. The order of articles is READ first, comment later...
@MysteryAozz Uh, this is a controller for a game dealing strictly with Pokemon. Why would Zelda be involved?
@chemical i know, i was being silly (or try to )
@FX102A How so? I can't imagine it being too handy with the lack of some many buttons on it.
If they're compatible with PC, then I'd be tempted to pick them up.
Seems pointless having more than one variation of the controller seeing as the game can only support one of them at a time.
I would love a Charizard Pokkén controller.
Make a luchachu controller and I'm in.
I would like a Lucario or Blaziken version of that controller, especially Lucario, because aren't Lucario's paws adorable?
With the release of this controller so late in the game, I wonder if it's a sign that a competitive scene actually exists in Japan? Or am I reading too much into it?
Nice I've got the original already tho plus it only works with Pokken so no need too get any others.
@FX102A If that true I will do a video on this.
Hope it comes to Europe!
@TruenoGT ahahahahah I totally agree man, one of the best random sentences I've ever heard 😂
I myself was going to import one of those shiny limited Orange X Black 3DS LL just because it'so freaking cool looking 😄
Oh, and I didn't know colored Vitas are actually a thing. I looked them up after seeing your comment and yeah, they look amazing!
I'm still playing Pokken on my bulky Wii U Gamepad because I like wireless and I'm cheap.
You can't use it in any other game, so what's the point here?
@rushiosan fans of a genre often use custom controllers that give the best experience if they can. In this case this controller is the closest to the arcade controller. No different than ddr pads, dk bongos, flight sticks, fight sticks and fight pads and the like. Most of those can only be used for the franchise they are made for.
@TheRealThanos,
So this is made by Hori, while the other controller is made by Nintendo? Either way: Lol, you are right! I only saw the picture and immediately thought: Nintendo greedy again. Though I guess Nintendo also earns some money on this!
@Henmii probably very little: I think it's a licensed controller, so we're likely talking single digit percentages here, or 10 at the most. And this isn't a product that is going to rack up huge sales numbers, so it's not going to do Nintendo a whole lot of good.
"And this isn't a product that is going to rack up huge sales numbers, so it's not going to do Nintendo a whole lot of good"
Well, maybe. It may be attractive to collectors though.
