As many of you were likely aware, physical copies of Pokkén Tournament ship with a special Shadow Mewtwo amiibo card in every case. This is a limited, first-run offer, and it no doubt changed the minds of many gamers to buy physical rather than digital. Of course, some digital buyers may have felt left out by this decision, but Nintendo of America has recently announced a relatively easy way for digital buyers to get in on this perk.
The offer is only valid until 31st July of this year, and you can find the details outlined here. Basically, you just have to create an account on the online Nintendo Store, email the support team with your NNID and Wii U serial number, and you'll receive the card in the mail in roughly two weeks. Overall, it seems like a simple process, and it's nice to see Nintendo paying attention to details like this.
What do you think? Will you be taking advantage of this? Drop us a comment in the section below.

April 1st cruel joke.
Nintendo won't ever put attention to little details like this one.
...
Oh, It looks legit.
Good enough.
I swear, if this an April Fools joke, I'll laugh so much.
I had a feeling it's an April Fools joke, until I read July 31st.
Oh look, Nintendo decides to good something good for once.
Nice.
Edit: I didn't realise this was April 1st. I'll be back tomorrow, Internet 🙄
Psst, software update 1.2 fixes that infinite combo.
I might get Pokkén, but only if My Nintendo offers a deal on it.
This was up since yesterday, so I doubt it's a joke.
I done it yesterday. Still waiting for a email back. Wish I called instead (if it's a option)
Also I take back all the things I said in past comments about Nintendo not mailing the amiibo card for digital purchase like they did with Super Mario Maker idea booklet. Thumbs up (Wonder Red Style)
Nope, got mine with the game.
"Wii U serial number, ... Overall, it seems like a simple process,"
B/c a NNID, Nintendo Account, and My Nintendo account aren't enough for them, we have to find our Wii U serial number in order to get a card? Seriously? I mean this is for digital owners only right, who had to download the game to their Wii U to get the game!?!? Why do they need a Wii U serial number for a card from somebody who already paid to DL the game to their Wii U?!??!?
Digital only NX, can't wait.
Oh wait, is this an April Fool's joke? Then, huh, nevermind.
Wow, it's real. We have to email them about our digital download so they can basically verify the information by hand? So much for connectivity.

@Fandabidozi why? This is legit.
I just finished sending them my info! Can't wait to get rocked by Shadow Mewtwo!
It does NOT take 2 weeks to receive in the mail. I did it & it takes 2 days!!
@rjejr
I am fairly sure that in the time you spent typing a rebuttal, most people would have sent the email and been on their way.
@OptometristLime Well all the people who have their Wii U serial number memorized would have. Quick, what's yours?
I only typed a 1/3 of that, rest was copy & paste, so it didn't take that long.
