Well, the Nintendo Direct broadcasts have passed. There were some surprises, quite a few details that were expected, and also information had been on the web ahead of time. We suspect both the European and North American subsidiaries will be looking to plug some leaks in the coming days...
There was plenty to enjoy, ultimately, with a range of different titles on show. We'll be doing our usual summaries and editorials in the coming days, but as a final sign-off following our batch of news articles on the events of the day we thought we'd bring together the various trailers and videos posted in North America and Europe.
So, below and in one handy place are the videos from today's Direct festivities (avoiding duplicates where possible).

I had no idea that Terraria was popular in Japan enough to get a 3DS port...
cool. europe is subtitled. noa is dubbed. maybe in japan they get reggie. i dug every second of both directs, and every game featured, even the horses. good work nintendo and nlife.
I'll admit, I was surprised with this Direct. Very well done Nintendo, even with legit leaks almost every other day, you still managed to impress. [tips hat]

I really like Shibata, always makes me laugh even if sometimes its unintentionally. The way he pronounced "million" when talking about the amount of uploaded SMM courses was brilliant!
BTW, what was that Fire Emblem Cipher ∅ at the end of Fire Emblem IF DLC announcement on the Japanese Nintendo Direct video? I assume that they're Amiibo cards. Do you use them in IF?
I just wanted Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass on the eShop (NA).
@SepticLemon From my understanding, I think it is an actual card game with Fire Emblem characters.
Monster Hunter Generations and (surprisingly) Tokyo Mirage Sessions was the highlights for me. Federation Force,Starfox, and Bravely Second looking good as well, but I already have those pre-ordered. The rest was just, alright. There was a lot, but you can tell its sort of less then normal quality(be they remakes or not much built on them) with some titles announcements to just get through the summer.
I'm glad that NL puts all the videos in one place for those who were unable to catch the Direct.
The whole time that I watched the NA Direct, I kept wondering one thing...I thought Bill got fired? I mean, first he eats the donuts for the very important meeting, then he insults Reggie....
Shibata's yokai dance is an example of why I love Nintendo and their directs. In comparison The others are juat guys in suit jackets with their italain sports car buzz words with serious case of business face.
@Trinexx You just can't fire a man that can eat that many donuts.
Summary: "Here's a game we talked about in the past 9 Nintendo directs, here's a lot of DLC, if you pre order the DLC you'll get this exclusive Best Buy DLC for your DLC early access DLC Amiibo. Lastly we assure you that Federation Force doesn't suck and isn't a cash grab... Seriously."
I'm disappointed that there's still no sign of cross buy for VC titles. If I buy a VC game I should be able to play it on any Nintendo system that can play it, it's not that complicated and certainly it should be possible with the new My Nintendo accounts. Not even a discount for buying the same game 2,3 or even 4 times across different systems and generations?
It's just as bad as Square-Enix and their FFX HD prices.
Also it's bad that as a huge fan of Starfox 64 I feel no excitement at all for Star Fox Zero...
It only took them a million years and they don't support O3DS, which are still a huge chunk of the platfor's install base, but FINALLY SNES VC is out the gate.
Now to wait three more years for GBA VC and new releases at a glacial pace, I presume?
And apparently censorship is rumoured to be happening to TMS#FE. See, I told you it would happen! THINK OF THE CHILDREN!

RAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE
@JaxonH I actually agree with your level of hype exactly bar I would swap Rhythm Heaven for Paper Mario, simply because Paper Mario looks like Sticker Star. I'll reserve full judgment but it's not looking great!
I'm just pleased to see SNES VC finally here! And come on Nintendo, GBA VC also please! My N3DSXL FE edition will arrive tomorrow, so it's a very good time for me.
@Noelemahc I think GBA will be sooner especially because of Earthbound being picked as one of the first SNES titles on 3DS VC. Feels like Nintendo's planning on having the whole Mother trilogy on both Wii U and New 3DS.
@whodatninja well yeah it could pass as child porn in some regions dude, that's not a surprise at all
That sizzle reel is awesome. I wish the U.S. direct had one like it there are some fun looking games on there I wish we had more info on.
God, I wonder how Yo-Kai Watch did in the West. I mean, from what I think, it did TERRIBLE. Not bad. Terrible. Does anyone actually know how it did?
