Monster Hunter X (Cross) is only around a month away in Japan, which means those of us in the West can start getting jealous right about now. This new title will include a number of familiar elements from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, but will have plenty of different monsters, attack styles and new twists on various mechanics.
It's shaping up rather well, and with the release date so close plenty of information is coming out. Naturally Famitsu magazine has various scoops, and the most recent issue has a 10-page feature that covers important monsters, modes, mechanics and tweaks to how Palicoes work. The rather excellent gaijin hunter YouTube channel has once again produced an informative and detailed tour of the magazine's digital edition, which is well worth a watch for anyone interested in the game.
Check it out below and let us know what you think.

I REALLY want it.
Man that's a lot of new info, I really really hope they announce a western release or this may be the game that will convince me to import a JP 3DS.
MHX, a game that we all want...but is the death of the new epic monster intros from MH4/U.
One big thing to remember with this is it's going to take some time for them to translate what with how text heavy things can get with menus, items and dialog when you aren't bashing things in the face. With how well 4U has been doing in the West and how vocal fans have been about wanting it I'd be surprised if we DIDN'T see this game sooner rather than later. My gut says we probably won't see anything about a Western release until at least E3 next year. I'd love for them to prove me wrong on that though and say something sooner.
I don't wanna wait a year for this game I'm addicted to this franchise.
It was 18 months between the Japanese release of MH4 and the Western release of MH4U. Being a huge Monster Hunter fan with over 1800hrs in MH3U (both WiiU & 3DS) and now 350+hrs in MH4U, those 18 months of seeing articles like this waiting and hoping for a Western release were not pleasant to say the least.
Yes I had an absolute ball playing MH3U over that time, but teasing Western fans for another year to 18 months with seeing these updates and no confirmation / release date is gut-wrenching for fans.
Capcom should at the very least say yes or no early on if we should get our hopes up or not. How difficult is it appease their biggest fans with a simple statement? Ex: '...and not to worry hunters of the west, localization for your region is in development as well, stay tuned!' Simple and appropriate fan service.
Given the popularity and numbers (33 million+ sold of the series worldwide), parallel development & localization in order for a simultaneous worldwide release of future titles should not be out of the question
@ParaGamer Wow you really had time for playing... I'm still discovering MH4, which is a huge hit, so I expect MH Cross to cross frontiers, and I understand that uncertainty is being frustrating to the biggest fans.
