As you'll know if you're a keen follower of this site, indie title Octodad: Dadliest Catch recently got delayed on the Wii U, with technical issues being to blame.
However, if the game's Wii U eShop page is to be believed, such problems have swiftly been overcome and the title is headed to the console on October 29th.
Already a firm favourite on other systems, Octodad is the story of an octopus pretended to be your average suburban father. To keep up his cover he must perform all the typical tasks a dad does - mowing the lawn, caring for his kids and being an attentive husband to his wife. It's utterly mad, but fantastic fun - are you looking forward to playing it on the Wii U? Let us know by posting a comment.

Is the date international? Looking forward to trying this one out.
Finally! Been waiting since its announcement
I like the premise, but hope the ending has him telling the wife who says "oh we knew all along silly".
Look forward to playing it
Might give it a look. Been on psn forever now but held off.
@Tsurii Oh, I'm in Europe so that works too.
Knew I should have copyrighted my splatoon teams name
If the price is right, day one for me. Looks like ton of fun.
Ok, for anyone who wants to play this game, I have some Important Advice for you:
Play the original game first. It's not essential, but this game is still pretty much a sequel. The original is available for free on PC from their own website, at least it was when I played it. I believe it was some kind of school/college/university project? Either way, it'll give you a neat introduction to the characters.
Crazy-looking stuff, could be something that must be experienced...
Are the kids adopted? Cause that would mean bestiality.
Love this game. It's pretty short, and unless you like the silliness of the main mechanic you probably won't enjoy it much, but I thought it was a lot of fun. One of the few games I've done a let's play of so far.
I hope there is a release date and pricing for North American eshop.
@amiiboacid The children are of mixed species. They look human but underneath their clothes... So much ink!!
This game looks crazy/quirky/unique enough to the point where I'm intrigued. I'll wait for a review first.
Still using Squid puns for an Octopus game... Noice!
THANK GOD. I'M SUPER HYPED FOR THIS. I just want a price, and my needs will be completed.
They just wanted the release date to be in OctoBer...
Hmmmm.... I might get the PC one first... I saw on the site that it had "slapstick" in it and I am a SUCKER for slapstick!
